Superbook and Gizmo on the Go Touch the Lives of Kids in Parañaque

A superb experience for all the Batang Superbook!

Kids from Word for the World – International Christian Academy in Sucat, Parañaque, had a spectacular day with Gizmo and the Super Crew.

The fun started as the kids showcased their dancing skills during Gizmo’s Talent Show and enjoyed games testing their knowledge on Mathematics and more on Gizmo Quizmo!

Everyone who participated brought home amazing Superbook items. The kids and parents also watched the Superbook episode Joseph and Pharaoh’s Dream.

They were super thrilled to sing and dance along The Salvation Poem with Gizmo. Everyone prayed and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

It was a meaningful day filled with hope, fun, and learning!

Angeline, 8 years old, is one of the Superbook fans who was grateful to be part of the event. She shared that by watching Superbook on television and on YouTube, she is learning more about Jesus. The show also introduced other Bible characters and biblical values to her home.

“I learned how to help others by watching Superbook,” Angeline said.

Nelgie, Angeline’s mother, is very grateful about how the show touches the lives of her children.

Superbook helped my kids grow in Jesus. They are excited to go to church every Sunday!” Nelgie said. With tears of joy, she shared her prayer for her children to keep growing closer to Jesus and be successful in life.

Julia Jarin, one of the Sunday School teachers, agreed and expressed that the show is an effective way of sharing the Good News to her students.

“More than a children’s animated show, Superbook is a tool for sharing the gospel to children and teaching them biblical values.”

As a Sunday School teacher for 4 years, Julia witnessed Superbook’s impact on kids and how they opened their hearts to learning about God.

“We are thankful that there is a television program that explains to children who Jesus is—that He is their Superhero and Friend!” Julia ended.

With Superbook team and Gizmo on the Go visiting different parts of the country, more and more children experience the saving love of Jesus Christ.

Batangas Fisherfolks to Set Sail Again After Receiving New Boats from Operation Blessing

For some people, a boat is just a means of transportation.

But for the fishermen of Taal, Batangas, a boat is a lifeline. Their entire livelihood depends on their fishing boats, and it helps them secure income for the basic needs of their families like food and shelter.

So when the Taal Volcano erupted two years ago and destroyed their boats—followed by the debilitating pandemic and series of strong typhoons—many fisherfolks in Taal struggled to make ends meet.

Even after two years, the effects of the disasters still linger on Batangueños whose livelihood solely depends on fishing. Most of them were forced to abandon their usual jobs and sought other means to earn income.

Thanks to your partnership with Operation Blessing, it’s time for Batangas fisherfolks to set sail again!

Twenty-two fishermen can now sail happily and continue their livelihood after receiving free, brand-new fishing boats from Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm.

This is part of the foundation’s rehabilitation program to help survivors of the Taal Volcano eruption in 2020. It is a huge relief for fishermen like Arnel, who expressed his deep gratitude after receiving his new boat that will surely revive their lost livelihood.

“Thank you, Operation Blessing! We will take care of the boats and we will make sure that they will last long,” Arnel said. (charleseitel.com)

Operation Blessing has provided nonstop recovery efforts for communities in Batangas, but there is still a lot to be done. Through your unwavering support, we can make sure that affected families can get back on their feet!

Superbook Makes Life-Changing Impact on a Young Girl and Her Teacher

Like many children, 11-year-old Czerina Adaya is heavily influenced by what she sees and hears on TV. Thankfully, watching Superbook inspires her to be obedient, polite, and God-loving.

Superbook taught me to obey my parents, to pray every day, and to avoid saying bad words,” says Czerina, who discovered Superbook through YouTube and a Bible study.

The grade 6 student loves the show so much that she could not contain her excitement when she joined Superbook’s Gizmo on the Go event at Robinsons General Trias Mall last week.

Czerina and all the certified Batang Superbook sang, danced, prayed, and played exciting games! They were all thrilled to meet the Super Crew and their favorite robot friend, Gizmo.

To Czerina, the part she enjoyed most was Gizmo Lab, where they were quizzed about their favorite subjects. She said it was an amazing experience as it was her first time on stage.

The kid is grateful that she continues to discover more about Jesus and His saving love in a fun way through Superbook and Gizmo on the Go. As she watches the show, Czerina also prays that her family would also experience the joy she found in Jesus.

“I know Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I pray that He will also save my entire family,” Czerina shared.

She and her friends were accompanied by their Sunday school teacher, Melanie Luna from Jesus Is Lord Church, in General Trias, Cavite.

According to her teacher Melanie, watching Superbook is highly recommended by their church pastor because not only does it promote good values, but it also teaches biblical principles in an interactive and enjoyable way!

Seeing the positive impact Superbook has on her students, teacher Melanie encourages parents and teachers to let their children watch Superbook.

She hopes that instead of spending much time playing online games, more kids will be inspired to watch the show that helps with values formation. Teacher Melanie also hopes that through Superbook, God will continue to touch the hearts of both the young and the old.

“I pray that God will continue to bless the kids with strength, wisdom, and excellence, and that He will continue to help us parents and teachers in guiding our children’s spiritual walk. Even though we, too, are struggling, I pray that we will not give up,” she said. (allterrain.net)

Gizmo on the Go: A Dream Come True for the Kids in Laguna

Many Filipinos’ childhood memories include Superbook. Originally shown in the 1980s as “Superbook Classic,” a new and improved version of the Bible cartoon series, “Superbook Reimagined” premiered in 2013.

The kids’ favorite TV show featured Chris and Joy on their Bible adventures. They were able to better understand the stories of the Bible, thanks to these figures! But Gizmo, the adorable and humorous robot pal of Chris and Joy, was one of the characters who truly resonated with the young audience.

Because of this, the children were overjoyed and excited when Gizmo made a trip to Canlubang, Laguna last June 16-17, 2022, for Gizmo on the Go!

Gizmo on the Go is an event where Gizmo goes to different places to bring fun and exciting games and activities to kids and, most importantly, to tell them about Jesus.

The 12-year-old Mara Oruga is one of the kids who felt very excited to meet the Superbook team.

When Mara was younger, she started watching Superbook with her family.

“We turn on the TV early in the morning to watch Superbook. We learn valuable life lessons and Bible stories,” she shared.

Mara and her friends from Canlubang, Laguna, enjoyed showing off their skills, playing Gizmo’s Lab, and watching the Superbook episode, “Joseph and the Pharaoh’s Dream.”

She said, “Like Joseph, I have learned to be gracious and forgiving.”

She especially liked the part where Joseph forgave his brothers, “Even though Joseph was made a high-level official, he didn’t use his position to get back at his brothers.”

After learning about the Bible, it was finally time for their long-awaited meeting with Gizmo!

When the kids saw their favorite robot friend, they cheered loudly!

Gizmo invited the kids to dance “The Salvation Poem,” and they were encouraged to pray and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

That day, more than 100 kids decided to follow God. They went home happy and holding a lootbag filled with Superbook goodies. Truly a dream come true for all the certified Batang Superbook!

Operation Blessing Brings Relief to Ukrainian Families in Poland—Here’s How You Can Help

When homes become battlefields, people make life or death decisions—whether to stay or flee.

For many families from Ukraine, leaving their homes and loved ones behind is heartbreaking. But when the armed conflict intensified in February, they were left with no choice. They were forced to abandon their homes in search of safety.

Millions of children, women, and elderly left everything behind not knowing what will happen next or if they will have a place to return to. They have endured journeys in horrendous conditions just to reach the borders of Poland and other neighboring countries and seek safety.

Thankfully, Polish communities have opened their doors to help families who are fleeing Ukraine.

One of them is Maria Mroczkowska who came from Warsaw, the Capital of Poland.

Maria was still grieving the death of her husband when she heard about the conflict in Ukraine.

Instead of finding solace by travelling the world or saving her resources for her future, the widow chose to open the doors of her home in Szczyrk, Poland to survivors.

“When they came here, they cried for hours telling me their stories. I also cried with them while listening to all those stories. I am like a mother to them,” Maria recalled.

Without any hesitation, Maria welcomed the displaced families with loving arms. She accommodated them all by herself, sometimes barely sleeping just so she could attend to everyone’s needs.

Taking care of more than 50 people can be exhausting, yet Maria is happy and inspired to continue the legacy of her late husband who was a World War II hero.

“He would give everything to help other people, even his last shirt or last piece of bread. Now I opened this house—which has been my dream for years—and gave them everything. I gave them my heart, I gave them my time,” Maria smiles.

She adds, “The guest in our house is God. And as we honor our guests, we honor God.”

Despite her extraordinary generosity, taking care of many people can be extremely challenging. That is why Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, works hand in hand with DNA Church in Poland to support Ukrainian families and Polish individuals who help them.

Operation Blessing has been delivering lifesaving aid to displaced families including food items and hygiene kits. These past few weeks, survivors in Kraków and Rzeszow have received relief items, encouraging messages, and prayers from the team.

Operation Blessing disaster relief in Krakow

This time, the disaster response team brought relief to Szczyrk to support Maria and the Ukrainian families seeking shelter in her home, “It is always inspiring to see people from other countries extend love to those who need it. Thank you very much!”

Operation Blessing disaster relief in Szczyrk

History books will remember the momentous events and major details about the conflict in Ukraine, but for those involved, these little moments of humanity are something that they will never forget.

“I want to thank God and Maria for receiving us in her home. We are comfortable and satisfied with everything here,” said Valentina, one of the survivors.

You, too, can deliver lifesaving help to Ukrainian families in Poland!

Your donation could go a long way to help people who need it. If you want to be part of Operation Blessing’s relief efforts in Poland, it is truly easy. All you have to do is to call 8-737-0-700 or 0939-921-5543, or give through the website of CBN Asia or Operation Blessing.

Gizmo on the Go: From Weekend Family Habit to Meeting Gizmo and the Superbook Team!

Timeless Superbook episodes, interactive games, and exciting contests!

It was a fun-filled day for all the certified Batang Superbook from Marikina, Pasig, and Quezon cities when they finally got the chance to meet Gizmo and the Superbook team at Robinsons Metro East last June 11.

One of the early registrants to the Gizmo on the Go event was the 6-year-old boy Levi who was accompanied by his Mommy Frances, his dad, and his little sister.

“I love watching Superbook, especially the David and Goliath episode because I always remember how God protected David from Goliath,” Levi shared.

His mom Frances told the Super Crew that their kids always watch Superbook as part of their Saturday routine. They enjoy learning new Bible stories and lessons on godly values every weekend.

Superbook is helpful because the kids learn about Jesus. It’s presented in a way that is easy for them to understand and they can relate to the characters as well,” she shared.

Frances added, “I am happy that through Superbook, they get to know who Jesus is and how He worked in the lives of the people in the Bible. I pray that the kids will always remember the lessons as they grow older.”

She also loved how the show reaches out to the little ones who don’t know how to read yet. They’re amazed on how the Bible stories come to life.

With this, Frances encouraged every parent to let their children watch Superbook.

“Just as I support my kids in watching Superbook regularly, I also want to encourage the parents out there to let their children watch the show,” Frances shared with enthusiasm.

Kapampangan Mom Says Superbook Helps her Daughter Learn Good Values

Daren Dela Cruz saw the excitement in the eyes of her daughter Dea after hearing that they finally have an opportunity to meet Superbook’s beloved robot friend, Gizmo, in-person.

As a 10-year-old kid who is an avid fan of CBN Asia’s animated series for children, Dea was only used to seeing Gizmo, Joy, and Chris on YouTube. Daren knew that her daughter would be thrilled to attend the event!

True enough, it was a joy to behold when she accompanied Dea to Superbook’s Gizmo on the Go caravan at Robinson’s Place Angeles, Pampanga, last June 5.

Daren said that Superbook is a great help in teaching Dea godly values. Watching an episode per day teaches her kid how to pray and be strong in life.

Not only do both of them find Superbook fun and exciting, but they are also thankful how each episode gives Dea a better understanding of the Bible.

While attending Gizmo on the Go at Robinson’s Angeles, Dea had so much fun playing Superbook games including “Escape to Egypt” and “Harvest Rush.” She was so thrilled to take a picture with her robot friend, Gizmo!

It was truly a fun day not just for the kids but also for their parents. The crowd was filled with both kids and their families who received Superbook gifts as they joined the games and showcased their talents on stage.

It was a remarkable day for the children and adults who all discovered the character of God—their source of strength and confidence.

Like Dea, do you also want to meet Gizmo and the rest of the Super Crew?

Here’s How You Can Help Build Classrooms for Indigenous Students and Make their Dreams Come True!

Almost half a year into 2022, what have you learned so far?

For many indigenous Filipino families, this year has shown the impact of education. An ongoing pandemic, hunger, and devastating natural disasters amplified the struggles they already face—forcing them out of the classroom.

Yet despite the odds, they are not giving up hope. They are determined to go to school.

operation blessing builds classroom for indigenous students

Angel Poypoy is one of them. She dreams of a better future not just for herself and her family, but also for her fellow Mangyans in Sitio Sinariri, Oriental Mindoro.

“I want to become a doctor. Every time I see someone who is sick, it pains me. I want to help them,” Angel expressed.

Like Angel, many girls and boys in their community dream of a better life even though their situation is challenging. Even before the pandemic, the students had to walk down the mountains just so they could go to school.

Teacher-in-Charge Arnel Villesa of Sinariri High School witnessed the hardships of their students who belong to the Hanunuo-Mangyan tribe.

“I saw the struggles of the students in our community. They would walk 2 to 3 hours just to go to school. They also need to work; they need to earn money so they can support their schooling and help their families,” teacher Arnel shared.

On top of the personal struggles of the students, they continue to miss quality education opportunities because of lack of classrooms.

Sinariri High School was built in 2019 by the Local Government Unit. To accommodate all the students, they had to divide the rooms using thin wooden partitions.

Can you imagine how difficult it was for students to concentrate on their lessons while hearing all the noises from the other side of the room?

Angel and her schoolmates have endured this situation. And now that the students are back to face-to-face classes, they are once again faced with the same dilemma: overcrowded and uncomfortable learning spaces.

Thankfully, your support to Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, has blessed the schools and students with new classrooms!

Operation Blessing partnered with the Local Government Unit of Mansalay to reach one of the farthest areas in Mindoro and build additional classrooms for the indigenous students.

Once the classrooms are built, the students won’t be distracted anymore nor forced to travel for hours. Instead, they can focus on their lessons and spend more time with their families!

To the teachers of Sinariri High School, the construction of new classrooms inspires them more to help the students reach their dreams.

“They didn’t only give us inspiration—they also gave us the motivation to persevere,” Teacher Arnel gratefully expressed.

And to students like Angel, it is a symbol of hope. A symbol that dreamers like her can attain formal education and become a doctor someday.

“This is very important for us so we can have better classrooms and not be compressed in small rooms. Thank you so much Operation Blessing and to everyone who helped us!” Angel ended.

You help build classrooms for indigenous students and make their dreams come true!

Together with you, Operation Blessing can build more classrooms where indigenous children can learn and chase their dreams. Give and be a blessing today!
