5 Lessons Everyone Needs to Learn from the All-New Superbook Season 5 Episodes

The all-new episodes of Superbook Season 5 are coming on June 3 on A2Z and Kapamilya Channel! Are you excited about the new adventures with Chris, Joy, and Gizmo?

Here are five life lessons you can learn from Superbook Season 5:

Lesson #1: Be patient with those who struggle to believe in God

In the episode “Doubting Thomas,” Chris tried to tell other kids about God, but they just laughed at him. He learned that some people find it hard to believe in God, so he became patient and found ways to connect with them.

Telling others about God can be challenging, but we are called to be patient and kind as we do it (1 Peter 3:15-16).

Lesson #2: Accomplish all the tasks God gives you

Do you always find yourself struggling to accomplish a task? God assures us that we can do whatever He assigns us because He will give us the strength and wisdom we need (2 Corinthians 12:9).

In the 2-part episode “Paul and the Unknown God,” Paul preached with wisdom and boldness that comes from the Lord. He persevered because He wanted people to know the one true God.

Lesson #3: Give joyfully

In the episode “The Widow’s Mite,” a poor widow gives everything she has with a cheerful heart. Through this, Chris learns that giving is an act of worship to the Lord.

This story teaches us that an obedient and sincere heart is more important than what we give to Him (Luke 21:1-4).

Lesson #4: Trust in God’s plan, no matter the circumstances

When Joy faced a difficult situation, she found it hard to trust God. In the episode “Paul Keeps Faith,” Joy learns to keep believing in God even when her circumstances seem hopeless.

Even in difficult times, God promises to be with us, encouraging us through His Word and the people around us (Romans 8:37-39).

Lesson #5: Read and Obey God’s Word

In the episode “The Sermon on the Mount,” Chris and Joy struggled to fully understand the lessons Jesus taught them. This episode teaches us to read God’s Word and to put it into practice.

The Holy Spirit will guide every believer in living a life that is pleasing to God (John 14:26).

Superbook Presents Season 5 at Media Conference

Superbook Philippines held a media conference on Thursday, May 23, at the CBN Asia Studio, to announce the highly anticipated launch of Superbook Season 5.

Content creators and press people attended the event; some mommy bloggers brought their kids too and they all got to experience a sneak peek of what the brand-new season brings.

“While the first four seasons introduced stories and characters, Chris and Joy, with a light approach, Season 5 will be more serious, and also highlighting their growth in faith with stronger, more mature characters,” said Icko Gonzalez, CBN Asia’s Head for Superbook.

He added, “Expect new settings, characters, and enriching teachings in this exciting new season of Superbook!”

The highlight of the event was the screening of one of the episodes, titled Sermon on the Mount. The episode follows Chris, Joy, and Gizmo as they try to apply the teachings of Jesus from their Superbook adventures. They are transported back to the time of Jesus’ famous Sermon on the Mount.

The screening heightened the guests’ excitement for the new season and brought out laughter as the audience enjoyed the wit of Chris and Joy and their efforts to live out what they learned.

Mommy content creator Pamela Gasgonia shared her thoughts on the episode, saying, “It doesn’t mean that when we ask God for something, He will give it to us immediately. It’s important for children to also learn how to wait and understand that they need to take action while they wait.”

Christian content creator Lance Ocab shared his thoughts during the MediaCon, “I enjoyed the experience, especially watching one of the episodes. Witnessing this, I see the potential impact Superbook can have on children.”

He also reflected on the challenge of making Bible stories relatable to children, “It’s challenging. I am eager to see how Superbook will handle this challenge.”

For Ronieth Dayaoa, a Gen Z Christian content creator and author, Superbook creates a lasting positive impact on children.

Superbook helps children to be exposed to the love of Jesus and many other lessons that will create a ripple effect as they grow,” she said.

Inspired by the mommy content creators, Ronieth added that if she has children in the future, she plans to use Superbook to teach them about faith.

The event also featured the appearance of Gizmo, who was joyfully welcomed by everyone. The Superbook team, media partners, and their kids capped off the MediaCon by singing and dancing to The Salvation Poem—making the event more fun and meaningful.

Gather your kids and join Chris, Joy, and Gizmo for another series of Superbook adventures in Season 5, premiering on Philippine television this June 3. Tune in Monday to Friday at 8:30 a.m. on A2Z and Kapamilya Channel.

CBN Asia Launches Superbook Cebuano, Empowers Churches to Reach More People for Jesus through Social Media

With hopes of empowering ministers and touching the lives of young Cebuanos, CBN Asia flew to the heart of Cebu and launched Superbook Cebuano, and conducted social media evangelism workshop in Robinsons Galleria Cebu, last October 7.

Bannering the title, “Growing Your Ministry through Social Media,” former CBN Asia Digital Media Manager Sheena Mangunay shared the best practices in maximizing social media platforms and tools to reach more audience and share the gospel online.

The workshop inspired 23 dedicated participants from Victory churches in Cebu to unveil the aspirations of their ministries, understand their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

They revisited their ministry’s vision, mission, core values, goals, and the audience they aim to reach. Ultimately, they received tools that can help them craft a customized social media growth strategy.

Clouie Lastima, one of the participants, couldn’t help but express her heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable experience she gained during the workshop.

“This is one for the books. It’s been an incredible privilege to hear directly from Miss Sheena. Her insights and strategies, especially on using social media to serve the Lord and our community, have been incredibly inspiring,” she said.

After a morning filled with insights followed an exciting afternoon for Cebuano kids—the Superbook Cebuano Grand Launch.

For the first time, children and their parents watched the Superbook episode, “A Giant Adventure” in Bisaya! Witnessing the kids engage in the story, now translated into their native language, was truly heartwarming.

Laughter filled the hall as they took on the challenge of Gizmo’s Talent Show, where they showcased their TikTok dance moves.

The fun experience didn’t end there; they played games, answered trivia questions, took home Superbook merchandise, and sang “The Salvation Poem” in Cebuano, too!

The journey extended to the Children’s Haven Orphanage in Cordova the following day, October 8.

Gizmo on the Go!’s Super Crew and everyone’s beloved robot friend, Gizmo, sparked hope and joy in the lives of children.

The kids, along with their teachers, danced and watched an exciting film. They also engaged in quizzes, challenged themselves, and delved into a mind-boggling, scientific question-and-answer session.

The Superbook team also visited the kids in Ganaan Christian Academy in Lapu-Lapu City. The day was filled with activities, and the children were thrilled to meet Gizmo and take home Superbook merchandise.

Cebuano Kids Watched Superbook in Bisaya for the First Time!

For the first time ever, children in Cebu got to watch Superbook in Bisaya when they attended the Superbook Cebuano Grand Launch in Robinsons Galleria Cebu, last October 7.

The groundbreaking launch happened just in time for the celebration of the well-loved animated Bible series’ 12 years of broadcast in the Philippines.

Superbook is a good way for parents to introduce the Bible to their children,” shared Pastor Rodel and Joy who attended the event with their 9-year-old daughter, Anya.

Like most kids, Anya enjoys fun and visually-rich storytelling. That is why her parents encouraged her to watch Superbook when she was just 3 years old.

With the initiative of translating Superbook into the Cebuano language, more children in the Visayas region will be able to learn more about the Bible.

Icko Gonzalez, CBN Asia’s Manager for Superbook, shared how the idea of translating the show to Cebuano came to life.

“During our visits to this region, we’ve observed the strong desire among the children and their families for a deeper connection with God through Superbook. Their requests to have Superbook episodes translated in Bisaya touched us to make this happen,” he said.

After the grand launch in Robinsons Galleria Cebu, the Super Crew conducted outreach events in Cordova and Lapu-Lapu City. The venues were filled with joyous and contagious cheers from the children and their families! (designzillas.com)

Cebuano kids showed their dancing skills during Gizmo’s Talent Show as well as their knowledge of the Bible during Gizmo’s Lab. And for the first time ever, they got to watch the Bisayan version of the Superbook episode, “A Giant Adventure!”

Through the episode, the kids were reminded that talents come from God and they were inspired to use it for Him.

After watching Superbook, the children were amazed to meet their robot friend, Gizmo, and everyone sang and danced to the Cebuano version of “The Salvation Poem”! It truly is a memorable experience for all who attended the Superbook Cebuano Grand Launch.

Icko is excited to bring the Superbook experience to even more children across all Bisaya-speaking communities. He shared, “The future is bright, and we’re eager to share the transformative power of Superbook with them all.”

With the unwavering support of generous donors and partners, Superbook is taking a step closer to the vision of imparting life lessons, teaching moral values, and igniting the joy of learning the Bible in the hearts of Filipino children and their families.

5 Life Lessons You Can Learn from Superbook Season 3 Characters

Are you looking for entertaining Bible stories filled with lessons for you and your family? Superbook’s got your back!

Superbook is CBN Asia’s animated series that follows Chris, Joy, and Gizmo’s time-travel adventures as they witness the stories of people in the Bible.

Don’t miss the premiere of Superbook Season 3 Tagalog episodes on the Batang Superbook YouTube Channel starting July 8!

Read more to get a glimpse of 5 of the many life lessons in store for you!

1. Ruth’s love and loyalty to family

For Ruth, family always goes first. Despite everything she has gone through, Ruth chose to stay and care for her mother-in-law Naomi (Ruth 1:1 – 18).

Like Ruth, be loving and faithful to your family. One way to show love for them is to lead them to Jesus. You can express loyalty to them by staying with them in their most challenging times or comforting them whenever they feel sad.

2. Naaman’s humility

Naaman is the commander of the Syrian army. Even if he is a high-ranking official, he cannot find a cure for his leprosy. He showed humility by listening to his Israelite servant girl, telling Naaman to ask help from a prophet from their town (2 Kings 5:1 – 13).

Having a humble and teachable heart encourages others to express their opinions and suggestions, too.

3. Obedience of Eliezer, Abraham’s Servant

Eliezer followed his master’s order even though it was not easy. He trusted God and prayed for His guidance. Through the Lord’s leading, Eliezer was able to accomplish the task (Genesis 24:15 – 27).

Obeying God and relying on Him will lead us to His good and perfect will for us.

4. David’s merciful heart

Forgiving someone who hurt us is often easier said than done. David experienced this when he was being chased and threatened by King Saul. When he saw an opportunity to get even with the king, David chose to show mercy instead of seeking revenge (1 Samuel 24:1 – 7).

God forgives His children when they turn from their sinful ways and return to Him. May this truth remind us to extend mercy and kindness to people who have wronged us.

5. Daniel’s unshakeable trust in the Lord

Daniel believed that God would do something amazing in their hopeless situation. Though the task was difficult, he chose to seek God instead of worrying. Daniel prayed for the Lord to reveal to him what King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was and help him interpret its meaning (Daniel 2:1 – 20).

You can trust God in every situation, even when all hope seems lost. Rely on Him and believe in His mighty power.

Superbook Shares the Message of Jesus to the Children of Lipa, Batangas

Gizmo once again embarked on an extraordinary adventure to spread the love of Jesus to children everywhere!

Recently, the lovable robot from Superbook visited Lipa, Batangas. The “Gizmo on the GO!” event prepared by the Superbook team ignited the hearts of Filipino families and young fans—through an unforgettable experience filled with games, activities, and the powerful message of the gospel.

Among the eager attendees was Ernest Buenviaje, an energetic 10-year-old who considers himself a certified Batang Superbook.

“I enjoy watching Superbook because it teaches valuable moral lessons that we can pass on to future generations as we grow older,” Ernest shared.

Just like Ernest, a lot of children had fun as they dived into a world of Superbook wonder in different stations inside the activity area. Aside from entertainment, the activities prepared for the kids taught them valuable lessons.

The Creation Station, a hub of creativity, delighted them with Superbook-themed coloring pages that came to life with their vivid imaginations. The Arcade Station experience was a blast as they engaged in Superbook games. The Photobooth Station captured the joyous moments of children as they proudly showcased their artwork from the Creation Station.

The highlight of the day was an exciting game called “Gizmo’s Lab,” where Ernest emerged as the winner! When asked about his secret, he humbly shared, “I prayed before playing the game, like how I pray before taking tests in school.”

It wasn’t just about games and fun. Superbook left a lasting impact on the young hearts as they gathered to watch the lesson-filled episode, “The Good Samaritan.” Through this story, they learned the powerful message of kindness and helping others, no matter their differences.

The crowd erupted with joy as Gizmo showed up on stage!

They sang and danced to “The Salvation Poem,” creating an atmosphere of celebration and praise. Gizmo’s heartfelt invitation to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior touched the children’s hearts and many responded with a resounding “Yes!”

As a token of appreciation, the children received Superbook gift bags, filled with treasures that would continue to inspire their faith journey. The bag included bread, chips, juice, a copy of “Book of Hope” and Superbook stickers.

And of course, who could miss the chance to capture a memorable photo with their beloved robot friend, Gizmo?

Mom Shares How Superbook Helped 2 Generations of Their Family Learn More about God

What is one thing from your childhood that you want to pass on to your kids?

For SuperMom Rosabelita, it’s the Bible lessons she got from watching Superbook back in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

Rosabelita loved watching Superbook Classic and The Flying House when she was younger. Now, it’s her daughter Paula’s turn to join the fun Bible adventures of Chris, Joy, and Gizmo!

She doesn’t want Paula to just watch Superbook for fun without learning lessons from it. So, she decided to go on a Superbook journey once more–this time with her daughter!

The mother-and-daughter duo went to participate in a Gizmo on the GO! event in Robinsons Gapan, Nueva Ecija, last April. “Gizmo on the GO!” is a fun-filled event where kids can try different activities, play games, watch Superbook episodes, take a selfie with their favorite robot friend Gizmo, and more!

SuperMom Rosabelita proudly cheered for her daughter as Paula answered every question during Gizmo’s Lab, a quiz bee part of the show, with ease. She ended up being the winner, even taking home special prizes from Gizmo!

Rosabelita shared that Superbook’s visuals appeal to kids—encouraging them to learn about biblical lessons and good values. In fact, she noticed some similarities between Chris’ experience in the Superbook episode, He is Risen with that of her daughter.

“At first, Chris had a different attitude toward his mom. But after he went to Jesus’ time and then back to the present, his attitude toward his mother changed. That also happened with Paula,” she said, testifying on how Superbook helps her teach good values to her daughter.

The SuperMom also gave advice to other parents, “I hope that they will make time to watch Superbook together with their children, so they can explain life lessons from the show.”

Watching Superbook not only helps children understand Bible lessons better, but it also gives opportunities for parents and kids to bond. SuperParents can also use the Superbook Family Discussion Guide to help their learning time be more meaningful and productive!

Kids in Bukidnon Share Meaningful Takeaways from Superbook’s “The Good Samaritan” Episode

“Let us love our neighbors and help them the best way we can!”

This was the lesson learned by the children in Can-ayan Integrated School in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, when they watched the Superbook episode, “The Good Samaritan” as part of the Gizmo on the GO! event last January.

All the kids got so hooked on watching the episode and found themselves relating to the characters while taking home powerful lessons from the story!

When asked about her favorite scene in “The Good Samaritan” episode, grade 5 student Kyline Silmaro shared, “I like the part when the Samaritan helped the wounded man on the road.”

After watching the episode, Kyline learned that we should be kind and loving to others because this is what God desires for all His children.

“The priest in the parable did not help the wounded man. But the Samaritan even took him to an inn and paid for his stay! (www.louismassaro.com) ”

Kyline realized that the Samaritan’s kindness mirrored what Jesus did for us. “He helped us by dying on the Cross and was raised back to life so our sins will be forgiven.”

Grade 6 student Dominick Binahon felt the pain of the wounded man on the road as a familiar situation came across his mind.

“I felt a bit sad because I remembered the time when no one helped me when I was hungry and had no money to buy food,” Dominick recounted. “Good thing my best friend was there to help me get by the day.”

Through Superbook’s “The Good Samaritan” episode, Dominick learned to show love, kindness, and respect to every person he will meet.

Anjalina Esoy was also able to relate to the story of the “The Good Samaritan.”

“I helped my younger sibling who was being bullied. We confronted the bully and asked him to apologize to my younger sibling. I also encouraged my sibling to forgive the child who bullied him,” Anjalina shared.

She continued, “I learned from Superbook’s ‘The Good Samaritan’ that we should love, respect, and help each other.”

Many children are learning good values and getting closer to God through Superbook!

Caviteña Mom Recommends Superbook to Parents with Techy Children

From street games such as piko, tumbang preso, and luksong tinik, children are now spending more time on computer games, mobile apps, and television.

Mina Paragoyo is a mom who witnessed that change in hobbies and entertainment in today’s new generation.

Now that she has kids, she said that it has really been challenging to limit the use of technology in children. Some schools require the use of laptops. Communication with a distant loved one requires an Internet connection. Even shows and movies are watched online.

Joaquin, Mina’s 6-year-old first-born, is a part of this generation and he genuinely enjoys playing games on his gadgets for long hours. Despite that, Mina always finds time to remind Joaquin to watch Superbook.

“Kids nowadays have different interests. But I make sure that I include Superbook into my son’s screen time because I see that he enjoys and learns from it, too.” Mina says.

The Caviteño mom added, “Every time Joaquin watches Superbook, I notice that his attitude improved. He sometimes asks why the bad guys do bad things, and what’s good about Superbook is that they are really clear in explaining.”

“Since the kids cannot read at an early age, Superbook is a big help. Stories in an animated format help kids visualize the Bible at a level that they will understand,” she said.

After finding out that Gizmo will be in their school event in Molino 4, Bacoor Cavite, Mina said that Joaquin felt really excited that he even helped in preparing before they leave to see Gizmo.

When asked about his favorite Superbook episode, Joaquin said that he liked Moses’ story the most. “Moses did the right thing,” he said.

Despite his shy attitude, extreme joy flooded Joaquin’s eyes when he was in line to take a photo with Gizmo. Even after his picture was taken, his attention was fixed on our robot friend, showing that he knew Gizmo from the Superbook episodes he watched.

Mina started showing the Superbook episodes to Joaquin as early as he was 4 years old. She said parents should encourage their children to watch Superbook and left this message for all the parents who have kids that are spending too much time on gadgets and the Internet:

“The media has all kinds of violent and unpleasant videos that might expose your child to the wrong outlook in life. Superbook breaks that cycle and helps remind the kids about good values and the Word of God. Because of activities like Gizmo on the GO!, I was reminded that I should let my kids watch Superbook more often.”

Do you want your kids to learn more about the Bible, too? Follow Batang Superbook on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to watch different Superbook episodes your kids can enjoy.
