God Rewards Generosity

Have you ever hesitated to share your blessings because you were worried about running out?

Leila Custodio knows exactly how you feel.

She is a single mother and an early retiree when she decided to partner with Asian Center for Missions (ACM) by supporting them financially.

“My kids were always reminding me to slow down on using my money,” she said.

Leila first heard of ACM when she attended a mission awareness seminar at her church. The vision and mission of ACM reignited her dream of becoming a missionary, prompting her to support the ministry financially.

“I am amazed at the sacrifice of the missionaries and what they do for the Lord,” she said.

Leila had no source of income, and she wasn’t even eligible for her pension yet. But that did not stop her. Every month, she faithfully gave Php 300 to ACM.

But it wasn’t always easy for her to keep giving monthly.

At times, Leila questioned if her small contributions made any difference, wondering if she should continue giving.

Do you also feel like your generosity doesn’t make a difference?

Despite those doubts, Leila stayed true to her decision. She trusted that the Lord would provide for her. So, she kept giving to the ministry.

“I believe in what the Bible says that if you sow generously, you will also reap generously,” she shared.

And the Word proved true in Leila’s life! She received five times more than what she had given through her investment earnings. And guess what? Her retirement pay remained untouched!

This incredible blessing inspired Leila to increase her monthly donations to ACM, compelled by the understanding that God blesses us so we can bless others.

And what Leila experienced, you can too. In God’s economy, giving enriches us. So, don’t hold back!

In His Word, He says,

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)

Join us in supporting and sending missionaries to spread the Word of God across the nations. If you desire to make a difference and be part of this incredible mission, partner with us today!

Are You Praying for a Child?

For some couples, having children and building their own family is one of the greatest blessings of marriage. Along with planning where to live, parents plan the names of their kids, how they will be raised, and what school they will study in.

Imagine preparing all of these and realizing that it might be difficult for you to have a child.

This is exactly how Katrina Calmona felt after her doctor told her that she had PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), a condition that can affect the ability to conceive.

Katrina has always dreamed of becoming a mother even before she married Orven, her husband. She desired to experience the excitement of pregnancy and having a happy household.

After their wedding last 2015, they have been trying to conceive but kept failing.

This caused Katrina’s frustration. Aside from her hopes being let down, her batchmates are either on their second child or celebrating their first pregnancy.

“A few of my relatives were asking when I’m planning to have a kid,” she recalled.

Although it was not the intention, this put a lot of pressure on Katrina.

There were comparisons left and right.

Despite what she was going through, she did everything she could to be healthy and waited patiently for her prayers to be answered.

After 2 years, the test results finally came back positive. But when they were about to celebrate, it turned out to be a false positive. The doctors checked and saw that Katrina’s womb is empty.

This devastated her even more.

Instead of losing her faith in God, it encouraged her to trust God even more.

Katrina and her husband continuously watched The 700 Club Asia, which they said became their encouragement during their struggle. And just in time, they chanced upon an episode about a wife who had PCOS but still got pregnant after waiting patiently.

“It uplifted my heavy heart, and renewed my hope that if I trust God, He will answer my prayers at the right time,” she said.

While she was waiting and trusting God, Katrina continued to support God’s ministry by donating to CBN Asia. She gave 300 to 500 pesos monthly, saying that her salary was not big, but she still wanted to give back and plant a seed in God’s work.

“God does not look at the amount of what you donate, He sees your joy when you give.”

After just one year, the Lord has already answered their prayer. This time, the test came back as a sure positive. They named their baby Zoe Bliss.

After all the ups and downs they experienced, Katrina learned that she should not allow the pressure to dictate her timeline.

“We should trust God because He knows better than us. He knows when we are ready and settled to receive what we are asking for,” she added.

Other than blessing her with a daughter, the Lord continued to show favor in her life. Katrina was able to buy two properties in the Philippines.

She could not express how thankful she is to The 700 Club Asia for encouraging her to get through the tough times of her life.

If you are praying for a child or you are going through a challenging season, Katrina leaves an inspiring message for you, “I believe that God already has a plan for our life, and in the end, we should be thankful for it.”

The answer to Katrina’s prayer didn’t come when she expected to, but she did not lose hope.

She kept praying and waiting. Eventually, her blessing came at God’s right time.

God can answer your prayers, too.

Get to know Jesus and let Him prepare you for what you’re praying for.

As Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Let God use you to encourage others. Reach out and partner with us.

Sailing Through Life’s Challenges: A Young Fisherman’s Struggle

We are not all in the same boat.

Not everyone has the privilege of having a good life.

That’s why it’s important to be kind to one another.

We need to help each other get through various life challenges.

Witness the story of a young fisherman named Mark Toco, one of Operation Blessing’s beneficiaries.

Mark, 19 years old, is a grade 12 student from Barangay Estrella, Nauhan, Oriental Mindoro. At such a young age, he has no choice but to be a working student. He works as a fisherman to support his sick mother, who continues to recover from a stroke.

“We need money to sustain our needs, so I decided to help my mom,” Mark said.

Every day is a battle for Mark. He always sails to the sea to catch fish to earn money.

His mom shared the same sentiments, “I feel sorry for my son. As a parent, I should be the one helping him. But it’s the other way around; he’s the one who’s helping me instead.”

Another unforeseen circumstance tested Mark. Because of the oil spill and fishing ban in their place, Mark struggled to earn for himself and her mother.

“It was difficult for us because we didn’t know how to earn money other than fishing,” Mark said.

“Sometimes, we would share a can of sardines all day so we would have something to eat,” her mother said.

When the news broke, Operation Blessing immediately responded to the needs of 500 families in Oriental Mindoro. Mark and his mother were among those families who received food bags from Operation Blessing.

The team also had the privilege to share God’s love and pray for them.

“Thank you for helping our barangay. This is a big help to us,” Mark happily shared.

His mom thankfully said, “I thank the Lord for always taking care of us. I also want to thank Operation Blessing for sharing God’s Word with us.”

Kindness can change someone’s life for the better. We may not be in the same boat, but when we choose to be kind, we can help each other see a richer, brighter future ahead.

“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” (Proverbs 11:25 ESV)

Do you want to share your kindness by helping our kababayans like Mark? Give to Operation Blessing and be our partner now!

Is There Still Hope for the Separated?

When there is too much pain due to abuse, self-hate due to disrespect, and hopelessness due to empty and broken promises, letting go seems like the best option.

This has been Helen Geronimo’s situation when she chose to be separated from her husband, Napoleon.

Spending her 34 years in marriage as a submissive wife made her feel worthless and unstable due to her husband’s maltreatment.

“My husband was verbally abusive towards me. That’s all I could say. I was not physically abused but the verbal abuse hurt. The wound got deeper every time I felt worthless,” Helen recalled.

Can you relate to Helen’s pain? Instead of receiving love, honor, peace, and protection from the person you made a lifetime commitment with, you end up suffering from hurt and trauma?

If you feel miserable and overwhelmed by the pain you experience, find comfort in knowing that the Lord sees your sorrow and counts your tears (Psalm 56:8).

If setting a boundary in the form of separation would mean safety and sanity to you, let go of your fears and worries. Focus your eyes on Jesus.

Jesus is always there inviting you to come and rest in Him as you surrender your cares upon Him (Matthew 11:28-30).

When you commit your life to the Lord, you can overcome depression and hopelessness just like what Helen experienced.

He will also send help to you to show you more of His power in your weakness and helplessness.

This has been true with Helen when God led her to contact the CBN Asia Prayer Center.

“I’m so thankful to Prayer Center. It’s like I have a family,” she shared as she looked back on how God used the Prayer Center to journey with her during a painful moment of her life.

“When they comforted me, it felt like it was God who was comforting me,” she added.

And as she was going through the devastating pain that their separation brought, she did not stop praying for her husband, too.

“My prayers for him were not for us to reconcile, but for him to be reconciled to the Lord for he has lost his relationship with the Lord,” Helen recalled.

As Helen emptied herself to God during their separation, she allowed Him to just move and do His will in her life and her husband’s life. And that’s where the impossible happened.

The Lord encountered Napoleon and started to change his heart.

He even tried to win her heart again like what a suitor does to the lady that he loves.

Helen was so grateful for how God can truly work miracles in someone’s heart, “Thank You, Lord! I never saw my husband like this before. And every day, He is transforming my husband.”

If you are losing hope in your marriage or your family, let this story cause hope to arise in your situation.

Jesus is always there to give hope for He himself is the Hope that is an anchor for our soul.

No matter how painful, messy, and dreadful your circumstance is, God is always willing and able to come through and bring miracles over your life, your marriage, and your family.

Turn to God and believe Him for the impossible!

If you are praying to God to manifest His transforming love in someone’s heart, and you need prayers and encouragement, the CBN Asia Prayer Center is always available for you.

Are You Worried About Your Family’s Future?

Nelia Ansaldo used to be.

The combined income from her sales agent job and her husband’s work as a mechanic was not enough to meet their family’s needs. They constantly struggled with financial lack, leading to ceaseless anxiety for Nelia.

“It’s exhausting to always chase after money. It pains me to see my family in this situation,” she shared.

There came a time when Nelia couldn’t even provide her children with school allowances, intensifying her fears for her family’s well-being.

Do you relate to this? Keep reading to discover how Nelia overcame this challenging situation.

To alleviate her stress, Nelia would often watch the television. One night, she stumbled upon The 700 Club Asia.

“I was deeply moved by a testimonial from someone who gave her last money to the ministry. She received more blessings in return,” she shared.

This experience inspired Nelia to give, despite her own financial struggles. She was inspired by the work of the ministry, particularly Operation Blessing, the humanitarian arm of CBN Asia, in helping kababayans in need.

Armed with courage, she set aside a small amount from her depleting funds and entrusted it to the Lord by donating to the ministry.

“Lord, may Your will be done,” she prayed as she gave.

Through The 700 Club Asia, Nelia and her husband also discovered their faith in the Lord and began the habit of reading the Bible. She learned that no amount of wealth can replace a relationship with God.

In just a few days, blessings started flowing into Nelia’s life. Her sales commission tripled due to the numerous memorial plans she was able to sell. This helped them pay off their debts, send their children to college, and renovate their home.

“The Lord provides for those who seek Him and those who help others,” she shared.

Ten years have passed, and Nelia continues to faithfully support God’s ministry through CBN Asia.

If you find yourself facing financial lack, may Nelia’s story inspire you. What happened to her can also happen to you.

God is capable of blessing us abundantly. He is a generous God. In His Word, it says, “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.” (Luke 6:38 ESV)

Even in the face of difficulties, put your trust in God. Place the future of your family in His capable hands. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. If you are in need of prayers, our Prayer Center is available 24/7, ready to offer intercession on your behalf.

Does God Answer Prayers Instantly?

God responds to prayers according to His perfect timing, which is never too early or too late. He is even capable of answering prayers instantly, without delay, like how He did with Sammie Villagomez.

A year before Sammie’s graduation, his parents made the difficult decision to stop his studies due to their family’s financial situation.

Being the eldest among four siblings, Sammie felt the weight of responsibility to support his family. Determined to finish his studies, he attempted to juggle a job and his studies, but he struggled.

Desperate to find a solution, Sammie allowed a friend’s family to “adopt” him. He thought this was the key for him to finish his education and then secure a stable job. And he did graduate.

However, despite securing a diploma, Sammie could not find a job. His efforts were in vain. This failure led him to spiral into depression.

“I was able to graduate but I could not even secure a job. I am the eldest but I felt like I was useless,” Sammie thought.

Like Sammie, do you feel useless? Are you discouraged by what’s happening in your life right now?

Remember that God has created you with a purpose and He’s not done with you yet. He will meet you in your point of need—just like how He did with Sammie.

Because God knows the thoughts and pleas of Sammie, He encountered him one night.

Sammie chanced upon an episode of The 700 Club Asia, where Coney Reyes was inviting the viewers to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

He went along with the prayer and accepted God wholeheartedly. But the prayer didn’t stop there. Coney interceded for those seeking employment and Sammie, who could relate so much, prayed with her.

Then God answered him in an instant.

While Sammie was still praying, his phone rang. Surprisingly, he received a job offer from one of the firms he applied to! Overwhelmed by God’s swift response, he cried—believing it was God, and He is real.

“That was the turning point for me. That was the beginning of the growth of my relationship with Him,” Sammie joyfully recalled.

After an exam and interview, Sammie got the job.

Meanwhile, the CBN Asia Prayer Center helped him become a part of a Christian church where he can grow in his faith. Since then, he received a succession of promotions from the company he works for. Sammie acknowledges that all of this is a result of Christ’s goodness and faithfulness in his life.

Faith strengthened, Sammie declared, “In whatever profession I am right now, it is not for my own glory, but for God’s glory.”

God has always been near Sammie, so when he cried out to Him, God answered without delay. Remember that God is also near you too. Reach out to Him now and experience His surprising response.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18 NIV)

Will You Still Trust God After Losing Everything?

What would you do if everything you have were lost? Will you still hope in God and believe that He can restore everything?

Maris Pascual admits that she always feels hopeless. Though she and her husband have a regular job, she finds it hard to see God’s hands in her finances. Maris always feels like it’s not enough. Because of this, she had to borrow some money.

Like Maris, are you struggling financially? No matter how hard you work, what you have does not seem enough?

To cope with financial stress, they tried to establish a slipper business. Things seem to be going well!

But then, a disaster happened. Her business, along with all they own, was destroyed by Typhoon Ondoy.

Have you experienced the same thing Maris went through? Things are going well, but it was only for a short period. How did you get back on your feet?

Maris and her family went back to zero. Aside from losing the business, they have a Php 50,000 loan from the slipper supplier. She also finds it hard to sleep at night especially when it rains because the memory of Ondoy flashes back in her mind.

In her sleepless nights, Maris decided to watch The 700 Club Asia and chanced upon a story of a girl planning to take her own life but encountered God through the show. Maris was amazed and realized that even though things seem hopeless, God is still there—ready to help her.

“I told God that I entrust our lives to His hands. If this is what we have, I cannot multiply it on my own but God can, so I will entrust this matter to Him,” Maris declared.

Armed with faith, Maris decided to donate to Operation Blessing because she was inspired by what she watched on The 700 Club Asia. When Maris obeyed God’s call to give, she witnessed His faithfulness.

They started a new bag business with the help of her aunt. After just 2 years in business, God expanded their equipment from 2 sewing machines to 20 sewing machines, and from 3 workers to almost 50 workers!

Through this, they restored their house that Typhoon Ondoy damaged and even bought properties, and a car, and paid off their debts. She also decided to stretch a hand to the people in need!

She trusted God and He did not fail her.

From zero, God restored what they had and gave them so much more. Believe that He can do the same for you, because He loves you. If you lost everything, trust that the Lord is faithful to restore those who believe.

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.” (Psalm 36:5 ESV)

Are You Longing for a Breakthrough?

Whether you are suffering in your finances, career, relationships, or even your own health, you want one thing—a turnaround. A favorable plot twist. And you pray, you plead, and you hope yet still, breakthrough doesn’t seem to be anywhere close.

If you resonate with this situation, let the story of Freddie Lopez assure you that breakthrough will come your way.

With his business suffering great loss and his family’s welfare in line, Freddie’s days were filled with anxiety and fear. He was striving and fighting but barely winning.

During those days, he found consolation through the CBN Asia Prayer Center. He shares that he found comfort in the advice and encouragement he received. He found someone to lean onto during the hardest season of his life.

Freddie designed motorcycle upholstery for a living, but he discovered that his former employees copied his original designs and competed against his business. This, in turn, negatively affected their sales. It’s the last thing he needed when he could no longer sustain his son’s tuition fee.

“I’m disappointed, but I was not discouraged. I persevered and trusted God,” Freddie shared in faith.

Do you feel like you’re struggling endlessly?

Choose to persevere and trust God. Remember, this is not where your story ends. Just like Freddie, look at your struggles through a godly perspective. Do not be moved by what’s breaking you but believe in the God of the breakthrough.

Even in those moments, Freddie held on to God and saw that problem as an opportunity to be a blessing to others. In faith, Freddie gave Php 500 to The 700 Club Asia.

“Though I only had Php 500, I gave and believed that when I seek Him first, He will provide,” Freddie shared in confidence.

Not long after, Freddie saw the fruit of his giving. God slowly proved His power to Freddie and his family, one problem after another.

Freddie received a huge discount to his son’s tuition fee, which cost Php 30,000. With that great news, Freddie was filled with joy. (https://locals.md)

And God wasn’t done yet.

Soon after, God powerfully moved in his dying business. Out of nowhere, he received 7,000 orders of motorcycle vests from a ride-sharing company. This was the contract that helped their business bounce back.

“I am really amazed. This is the breakthrough that I was praying for my business!” Freddie proudly shared.

All that because Freddie chose to look to God and remained faithful in his giving. The breakthrough he longed for was the breakthrough he received and more. With that, Freddie’s heart was filled with faith and gratitude.

“God redeemed my family and my business because of God’s goodness,” Freddie ended.

Truly, God is faithful to his promises in Matthew 6:33,

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”

No one who seeks God with all his heart will be disappointed. Just a little more, God will move through your situation. Believe that you are closer to the breakthrough you are longing for.

Do You Feel Like Your Life is Falling Apart?

“My life is falling apart…”

These were the thoughts running through Flordeliza Lalic’s head as she endured one setback after another.

Everything of her family’s possessions was destroyed in the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruption. With 2 children to support, her husband loaned money so they could start anew. However, on his way home, he was robbed and stabbed to death.

“My husband took out a Php 38,000 loan. On his way home, he was called by a group of drunk men who saw the money in his wallet. They went after him and ended his life,” she recalled.

Desperate and hopeless, Flordeliza fell on her knees to pray. She asked God to help her and give her hope. She asked God to give her a job so that she could support her children.

“Lord, please help me. I need to raise my children well,” she prayed.

Are you also facing challenges after challenges?

No matter how difficult life may be, there’s always hope!

It was also during this time that she chanced upon The 700 Club Asia. She found encouragement in the story of the testimony giver whose generosity to the ministry was repaid by God with a shower of blessings. Flordeliza was moved to give Php 300.

“I asked how to donate to The 700 Club Asia because I really wanted to,” she shared.

A few days after, she was recommended by a friend to a Korean employer who offered her a job as a caretaker. Along with this, is a salary good enough to take care of their family’s needs.

Because of this, she was able to provide for her children and send them to school. Now, she has stopped working because her daughter, who already graduated from college, volunteered to be the breadwinner of the family.

On top of the blessing, they have now acquired a new home and started their sari-sari store business!

God’s presence, help, and comfort are truly ever-present in times of difficulty. After everything Flordeliza has gone through, God was there to rescue her.

He can do the same for you. If you feel like your life is falling apart, call unto Jesus, and He will be your ever-present help.

“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4 NLT)

How Can I Keep on Giving When I am Facing Financial Lack?

Starting a business is not easy.

Sustaining a business during a worldwide pandemic seemed like a difficult task.

The couple, Aljohn and Florence Galang, can attest to that.

When the pandemic hit, one of the businesses that were affected drastically was the veterinary clinic of Aljohn and Florence. Due to the health and safety protocols and lockdowns, patients and income decreased.

“Our savings have run low, and we didn’t have any patients, so our worry back then was how are we going to survive,” Florence shared.

They were placed in a difficult position because not only were they fighting for their daily expenses, but they were also preparing for their baby, so it was a very stressful time for the couple.

Florence admits that she surrendered their situation to God. “I told God, ‘Lord, I will give this up to You because I can no longer think of ways to get through this’,” she shared.

Amid the difficulty, Aljohn and Florence remained committed to supporting God’s ministry. Even if they had limited income, they did not forget to give God what is for Him.

“We gave 10 percent of our income to the church, then we gave our love gift to CBN Asia,” said Aljohn.

They also constantly called the CBN Asia Prayer Center for prayer and counseling and supported Operation Blessing in their mission to bring blessing and hope to those in need.

Through their support to the CBN Asia Family of Ministries, they were given the opportunity to help, bless, and expand the kingdom of God even in their season of lack.

Florence eventually gave birth to their beautiful child, but a few days after her successful delivery, she experienced postpartum depression.

Have you ever found yourself in the same situation?

Stressed, lonely, and couldn’t catch a break from life’s troubles?

Following her sister’s advice, Florence turned her attention to baking to cope with her situation. In just a span of a few months, she completely broke free from her postpartum depression.

Her baking classes didn’t just give her a chance to cope, it also opened a new door for her to gain income through her new business, Baked with Love.

She gave a portion of her income as a donation to CBN Asia.

“We will give this money not because we need something but because this is what God deserves,” Florence gladly shared.

Through the goodness of God, He blessed their new business which helped them get back on their feet. Thankfully, their clinic reopened, and business picked up once again.

God performed more miracles as they were able to open 2 more branches of their clinic during the pandemic. Through their faith and generosity, they were able to experience favor upon favor.

“God is really a God who provides. He is Jehovah Jireh,” Florence declared.

God’s faithfulness encouraged Aljohn and Florence to be more faithful in their giving. For the couple, not even a pandemic can shake their unwavering faith in the Lord, which they consider as the secret to their success.

The apostle Paul reminds us of this truth in 2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

Even in the most difficult circumstances, God is still able to bless you. He still provides. If you entrust your future to the Lord, you will never be disappointed because He is true to His promises, and He never fails!
