Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

Can you still give generously even in your financial need?

This seems impossible, but Nelia Ansaldo’s story is proof that you can with God’s provision.

Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

Nelia, a sales agent, and her husband, a mechanic, have done their best to provide for their family. However, even with all their hard work, they still struggled financially.

“It is so tiring to run after money. It is hard to see your family struggle in that situation,” Nelia said. There were even times when they had to borrow money from their neighbors just so their children can have their daily school allowance.

Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

Are you also in the same situation as Nelia?

Take heart! God is creating a way for you just as He had done for Nelia.

During those difficult times, Nelia watched television programs just to take a break from the stress brought by their financial problems. That’s when she stumbled upon an episode of The 700 Club Asia that changed the course of her life.

Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

She was touched by the story of generosity shared by someone who was able to donate despite their financial constraints.

“I was inspired when I learned that the donations given to CBN Asia are helping communities in need, through Operation Blessing’s wells projects. You can also help people who are affected by catastrophes,” she shared.

Nelia realized that she could be a vessel of God’s blessings to others. So, she began to trust that God will provide in the middle of their financial problems, and with a cheerful heart, she donated to the ministry.

Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

Few days after Nelia experienced the joy of giving, God’s provision followed.

Her earnings doubled and she was able to provide for all the needs of her family, including the educational expenses of her children.

“I thank the Lord for His faithfulness!” Nelia happily said. “I witnessed God’s continuous goodness to my family and our lives.”

Do You Trust God amid Scarcity?

Are you also waiting for God’s breakthrough?

Have faith. Help is on the way.

Most of the time, God wants to teach you something first, so that when the breakthrough comes, your heart will be ready, just like what happened Nelia.

And just like Nelia, no financial constraints can hinder you in continuing the mission of paying forward the blessings of God through generous giving.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV)

Bless and be blessed.

Is there Blessing in Giving?

Is there Blessing in Giving?

For pre-school teacher Sharon Pagang, the answer will always be a resounding yes.

Sharon first learned the value of giving from her parents. This lesson stayed with her as she grew up and had a family of her own.

Is there Blessing in Giving?

One evening, Sharon and her husband Jovenal chanced upon The 700 Club Asia. They saw the many struggling families helped through Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines (OB) and it touched their hearts. Without any hesitation, the couple heeded the call to help through giving.

Is there Blessing in Giving?

“My husband and I were encouraged by the stories of people who were touched by God’s faithfulness. That night, we decided to give to Operation Blessing,” Sharon recalled.

Like Sharon, do you long to give whenever you hear and witness the struggles of others?

It is easy to be a blessing to others when life is all good and easy, but what about when it’s hard? Barely a month after Sharon decided to bless others, she found out that she had kidney stones.

Worried and anxious about the possibility of a medical operation, she doubted if she was physically and financially ready for this challenge.

In the midst of her uncertainty, Sharon was reminded that God is her great healer. She decided to remain prayerful, faithful and committed to her calling.

“I told my husband that in spite of what we are going through, we will continue to help God’s ministry,” Sharon said.

Little did she know, she was up for a miracle.

Just weeks after she prayed, the kidney stones were flushed out of her body! It meant two things: she no longer needed a medical operation and she just received God’s miraculous healing.

Is there Blessing in Giving?

Sharon exclaimed, “Yes, Lord! We are forever grateful to You for Your healing touch.”

Exceedingly grateful for God’s faithfulness, Sharon’s generosity increased. She and her husband happily gave more than what they initially pledged to Operation Blessing.

Truly, God is the source of provision, healing, and life.

No one can ever outgive God, and Sharon’s story is wonderful proof of this fact. Blessings followed after Sharon and her husband blessed others with their giving. Business opportunities opened for their family; her husband was promoted to a managerial role.

And that’s not all. “We have been praying for a baby and because God is so faithful, He gave us one!” Sharon shared. “We are so happy and thankful, and we will never forget the outpour of blessings we received from Him.”

Is there Blessing in Giving?

Even in a pandemic, God’s divine sustenance never fails to amaze the couple. Sharon and Jovenal found God’s peace during these trying times – the ultimate blessing they receive whenever they give.

And if like them, you want to experience the blessing that comes from giving, the couple has a message for you:

“This pandemic is the time where we can show our gratitude to God. One way of showing how thankful we are is to give. Learn to share. Do not worry for tomorrow for we cannot fathom His plans for us.”

“God’s outpour of blessings did not stop. Here’s what He did in our lives_4

“God’s outpour of blessings did not stop. Here’s what He did in our lives”

Lourdes Cresencio blurted out these words. She could not believe the miracle that was set before her eyes.

Before that, Lourdes remembered experiencing an extreme low when she suffered a heart attack while her husband suffered a stroke. They were caught off-guard. They had no money to cover their medical expenses that amounted to more than a million pesos.

“I asked, ‘Why is this happening to us? We were so unprepared financially, yet I believed that God would not allow situations that I cannot handle,” Lourdes recalled. She was left with Php 6,000 in her pocket after trying to sell their property to no avail.

They had nowhere to run but to the merciful arms of God.

In the midst of her despair, Lourdes chanced upon The 700 Club Asia and was moved by the story of a woman who learned how to give even though she, too, was in dire need.

Boldly holding onto God’s promises of healing and provision, Lourdes faithfully supported God’s work by donating to the CBN Asia.

“Even when we got sick, we did not stop giving because I know who my God is. I know that He will finish what He has started,” Lourdes hoped.

True as they say, God moves in miraculous ways. God honored Lourdes’ generous and obedient heart. Just a week after she made her donation, the outpour of miracles started.

It was effortless and trouble-free! Someone reached out to me and wanted to purchase our property. God was really faithful to us,” she shared.

Apart from that blessing, Lourdes’ husband was discharged from the hospital for freeWhat happened next further solidified her faith, stirred her love for God, and strengthened her belief in giving.

God’s outpour of blessings did not stop there. I recovered from my sickness and was told that I did not need to undergo any medical operation. All my medical needs were met. I was in awe of how God miraculously moved in my life!

Do you also want to experience God’s outpour of blessings in your life?

Out of her own need, Lourdes gave to the work of God. If God honored her heart, it could happen to you as well! As you give generously and freely, may you experience His blessing in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. (Deuteronomy 15:10 NIV)

Charity amid a Crisis? 3 Questions to Ask Yourself as You Give during a Pandemic

With months away from flipping the 2020 calendar, the battle against the pandemic is far from over.

Healthcare workers still struggle with a shortage of protective equipment. More and more kababayans face unemployment as the economy dips. And, low-income families continue to wonder where to get their next meal.

No doubt, the current crisis takes a heavy toll on every Juan.

Yes, life is quite challenging these days. It is hard to keep your face toward the sunshine when all you can see are shadows, isn’t it?

Yet one of the strongest traits of being a Filipino is the inclination to find the silver lining on every cloud. And if there’s one silver lining that came out during this difficult time, it is the bayanihan spirit that gets stronger because of the crisis.

This International Day of Charity, here are 3 things to ponder on if you are wondering about how you can take part in helping others even in the simplest way:

1. What is your motivation?

Ask yourself why you want to give and what specific things you want to accomplish by donating.

Do you want to support and sustain the health workers and other frontliners? Do you wish to feed the hungry and send aid to those who lost their jobs? Or maybe, your heart is in supporting the youth’s learning and education amid the pandemic?

Knowing your “whats” and “whys” about giving will help you with the “hows.” Your personal motivations can help you decide how to maximize your resources and execute your charitable ideas.

2. What are your resources?

Charity comes in various shapes and sizes.

You can donate goods, money, or time. However, due to the pressing health risks brought by COVID-19, more people are now actively involved in supporting those who are in need through financial means.

Giving food and other essential items is great. But if you have the financial capacity to give and make sponsorships, you may consider donating money so those in need can buy the things they actually need.

Also, are you considering a one-time donation, or would you go for a long-term, more sustainable way of helping others?

3. Do you need expert guidance on your charitable giving?

If you are a first-time donor or you simply do not know yet who to help and how you can help, partnering with charitable and humanitarian organizations is a good option.

These groups have been working closely with the communities and beneficiaries, and have projects that help people in the ways they need most. Your generous support would help them sustain such projects that truly help people.

For instance, Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines – CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm – has been working to help in the fight against COVID-19 and bring hope and comfort to kababayans who experience fear and anxiety during this pandemic.

Operation Blessing has already provided relief to thousands of patientsfrontlinersfarmerssenior citizens and childrenpersons with disabilitiesindigenous communitiesjeepney driversjobless and homeless individuals, and some of the most vulnerable families across the country.

If you want to help our underprivileged kababayans and spark hope to communities in need, you can partner with Operation Blessing today. You may give online or contact 09399215543 or 09189067753 to make sponsorships.

It takes huge faith to give away what is yours.

But instead of being close-fisted, God has opened your heart and hands for something bigger: helping others.

Know that as you donate, you give beyond money. You don’t just alleviate their current suffering – you also help restore their hope and dignity. Above all, you please your Heavenly Father, because even during the toughest days, you still choose to give with compassion, love, and charity.

“Let all your things be done with charity.” (1 Corinthians 16:14 KJV)

03202020_Would You Give Even When You’re in Need

Would You Give Even When You’re in Need?

Drowning in 13-million debt, Pinkki Sempio replied a resounding faith-filled “yes” to that question.

As a businesswoman, Pinkki learned to do her best to protect and grow her business.

However, amendments in her dealings’ contracts resulted in a huge amount of debt. Her loans from the bank started piling up and she cannot pay her employees on time.

Worst, Pinky came to a point that she cannot provide all her children’s needs anymore.

“I literally had nothing left. But whenever I look at my children and see them praying, I realize that there are a lot of people who still love and care for me,” Pinkki said, recalling one of the darkest moments in her life.

Distressed and worried about her company’s imminent bankruptcy, Pinkki called to God and remembered her father’s words before the latter passed away.

“He told me that there are 3 secrets in life. Number 1 would be love for God; number 2 is hard work; and number 3 is charity.” Pinkki held on to those words deep in her heart.

She started pawning her sets of jewelry, and donated part of it to CBN Asia in faith. She shared that she was inspired how the show, The 700 Club Asia, helps transform lives of its viewers like her, and how Operation Blessing reaches her underprivileged kababayans.

“I watched and saw Operation Blessing reached those who are difficult to reach. They would hike the mountains and cross the rivers. [Through the show], I am also reminded constantly that God can do miracles in my life too,”

Though she had too many needs of her own, she still thought about giving – doing it in faith and out of love.

In her life, Pinkki embraces God’s Word in Psalm 23:1-3, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

God blessed her faithfulness! After a while, Pinkki was able to sell a property for 31 million pesos – enough to settle all her debts and start her life anew.

“If there’s a word beyond ecstatic, that would be it. My joy was indescribable because God has given me more than what I prayed for! As long as you believe that God is alive, there is hope,” Pinkki expressed.

She also thanked the show for encouraging its viewers to live out God’s purpose for their lives, “For all I’ve been through, thank you, The 700 Club Asia for reminding us that we really have to serve God and be kingdom-builders.”

Are you too caught up in your own needs that you tend to forget others?

The Word of God produced generosity in Pinkki’s life. She obeyed and allowed herself to be used as a vessel of God’s provision to the needy even when she, too, was in grave need.

Your heavenly father knows when you give out of love, and that love is in its purest form when you give out of your need. It’s the kind of giving that pleases Him.

Do you want to start your journey to generosity? The Operation Blessing is currently mobilizing efforts on COVID-19 emergency response. Visit their website and Facebook page to know how you can help.
