Christmas is coming, and for many people, it’s a season of celebration, giving and receiving gifts.

For others, it’s a season of grieving.

Like coping with the loss of a loved one and recovering from a financial crisis.

Or a mother’s desperate cry to have a child, like Joanna Bautista.

Joanna always dreamed of being a mother. Sadly, her condition of having adenomyosis didn’t make it easy.

“I would bleed for a month, and it will stop only for two weeks,” she said.

Still, she went through many painful years of doctors’ appointments and different treatments. She and her husband, Rambo, tried their best.

Even when the first three doctors said she had a 20% chance of having a baby, they waited for a positive result day in and day out.

After weeks of waiting, there was still no answer. Weeks became months, and months turned into years– she’s still not pregnant.

No words could describe how devastated she was.

Joanna grew tired of always trying and doing her best but never receiving her desired result.

So, she stopped hoping and stopped dreaming of having her own child.

But when all hope seems lost, a glimmer of light shines through during the most unexpected moments in life.

Joanna stumbled upon The 700 Club Asia’s episode and as if it was planned, host Mari Kaimo declared this prayer: “The Lord is going to open your womb, and He’s going to give you that baby that you’ve been hoping and praying and dreaming about. In the name of Jesus.”

It was as if that prayer was specifically for her, so she claimed it!

Since then, it became a part of her life to watch the show every night. She was inspired by how the CBN Asia Family of Ministries was used by God to change the lives of people. She was so touched that it encouraged her to donate consistently.

And God, being the generous Father that He is, also blessed the couple beyond measure.

They were blessed with a new home and a car.

Joanna’s dream of having a baby rekindled, too. So, they went to another doctor and had a consultation. She was told to take a pregnancy test.

While lying in the hospital bed waiting for the doctor’s evaluation, she didn’t know what to think. But later, she heard the words she has dreamt of hearing for many years.

“It was positive.”

Still shocked, she rose from the hospital bed and asked the doctor if she heard him right. She couldn’t believe it at first!

“That was the only time I experienced tears of joy,” Joanna recalled. She learned how to trust God’s ways and surrendered everything to Him.

That’s why even when she had a sensitive pregnancy and gave birth to a premature baby, she knew that God is powerful to turn things around for the better.

Indeed, it was true.

Doctor Guido Estorco felt this way when he failed to sell their supply of vaccine shots. As a result, he lost over 200,000 pesos!

Throughout the pandemic, Guido has been selling vaccines, and although his sales weren’t always consistent, this was the first time he suffered such a significant loss.

His relationship with his family also suffered because of this, especially with his eldest son, who blamed God for their family’s hardship.

“It seemed impossible for us to be reconciled,” he shared.

Guido remained steadfast in his commitment to God even in the midst of hopelessness. He knew this was another test God would ultimately carry him through. He put his faith in the Lord and prayed earnestly for his relationship with his son to be restored.

And despite the fact that he had less money, he raised the amount he donated to Php 7,000.

He shared, “Giving has always been a habit of mine.”

God has been working in Guido’s life all along, unbeknownst to him. The Lord gave him an opportunity to turn his life around.

One day, a client approached him and asked him to sell Php 12 million worth of vaccines! This was Guido’s largest transaction to date.

He quickly sold the vaccines and went from being deeply in debt to becoming a millionaire!

His success changed not only his financial situation but also the heart of his son.

Their relationship was restored, and they grew closer. What’s more, his son’s faith in God grew!

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would happen to me,” he shared.

Now, Guido is still faithfully giving to the ministry and living his life for God.

Tired of Life’s Challenges?

Have you been facing difficulties one after another?

Just like you, Nancy Obaña is no stranger to life’s challenges. After her son passed away due to heart failure, she battled cancer, and felt like she was carrying a heavy weight on her shoulders from all the trials she was facing.

“I was worried for my family. Going through those challenges felt so heavy. I was in need of money, comfort, and peace,” Nancy recalled.

Do you feel like you are in a similar situation?

Trials can feel so heavy and difficult, but know that you are not alone in your struggle. You have a faithful God who never leaves your side, especially in the most difficult moments of your life.

Isaiah 41:10 says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.”

Nancy did the same thing.

She chose to draw closer to God. Despite everything she was going through, she was faithful in watching The 700 Club Asia where she drew strength and inspiration from the Lord. She was also faithful in giving her donations to CBN Asia.

“Giving is receiving. It is an investment. I saw the joy it brings to those who are helped by Operation Blessing. This is why I am more encouraged to give,” she said.

By putting God first above everything else, she didn’t have to carry all her heavy burdens, for it was the Lord who took care of all her needs.

Nancy said, “The trials were great, but God’s intervention was greater!”

Whatever need you have right now, know that God is able to meet it and more! All you have to do is to seek Him, live righteously, and make Him the number one in your life.

This is true in Nancy’s life. When she put God first above everything, the Lord provided for her and her family’s needs.

God used her relatives to help her financially and He also blessed her job as a registered midwife.

“With God, you will reap what you sow. You will even reap greater than what you have sown! If you make God the Shepherd of your life, you will lack nothing. He is faithful!”

Have you ever wondered about this question, too?

If yes, then be blessed by the story and faith journey of Perlin Nuñez!

Given her family history of cancer, Perlin did her best to stay healthy and became very mindful of her physical well-being.

Yet, in 2021, while studying in New Zealand, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Everything was clear during her previous mammogram, so it caught her off guard that the doctors found cancer.

Her first response was denial.

“It’s not true,” Perlin said.

But when her doctor said that her condition might worsen and lead to death, everything became real for her, and she accepted her fate. She packed her bags and went home to the Philippines to seek medical treatment.

With the high cost of treatment, Perlin admitted that things got difficult for her, especially now that she has no source of income. She was lost and confused about how she would face her situation.

In the face of suffering, how do you respond?

Will you keep holding on?

For Perlin, she struggled. But God gave her a way to hold steadfast onto her faith.

In the midst of her situation, she came across an episode of The 700 Club Asia that featured the story of host Kata Inocencio. Kata’s story resonated with Perlin as they went through the same struggles against cancer.

Kata’s positivity when she said, “I have faith in God, that He’s a healer, and He loves me very much,” proved to be life changing for Perlin as she declared, “Lord, I want to be like her.”

Perlin prayed earnestly to God and believed for her own miracle.

God did not let her down. As she battled with cancer, Perlin did not experience any adverse effects of chemo and radiation therapies.

“I went to therapy every week, but I did not experience severe nausea nor loss of appetite,” she recalled. Even her friends could attest that she didn’t look like she was undergoing any treatment for cancer. Life just radiated from her.

Through God’s grace, the lump in her breast was successfully removed. And with the help of a cancer foundation in the Philippines and health insurance, her treatment expenses were significantly lowered and Perlin managed to settle her medical bills.

After 7 months of treatment, she is now cancer free!

Empowered by the healing she received, Perlin travelled to Dubai to share her cancer survival story and her testimony of triumph.

Today, she faces life with gladness and gratefulness for all God has done in her life.

“God is really good! He really knows how to direct my life. I realized I should depend on His plans for me,” Perlin shared, after witnessing that it is possible to overcome cancer through the help of God.

Does this question cross your mind, too? If yes, then be inspired by Maria Ann Coroza’s story of faith and breakthroughs!

Mary Ann’s financial crisis began when her husband lost his job. In a desperate move to provide food for her family, she even ended up breaking her child’s coin bank.

Her husband faced rejection after rejection while searching for a job. On top of that, he was struggling with shoulder pain.

Have you ever experienced this as well? What did you do to help provide for your family?

In Mary Ann’s case, she decided to sell things to earn, “I wanted to help him, so I thought of other sources of income. I sold shoes online, ice candy, ice, and anything that I could sell.”

Still, her income is not enough for their bills, food, and children’s tuition fees.

Mary Ann was almost ready to give up until one call suddenly changed her life.

One night, while watching The 700 Club Asia, she decided to call the Prayer Center hotline as she couldn’t take the burden and sadness any longer. Her prayer was for her husband to finally find a job so they can make ends meet.

“I really felt that I gained a friend. I felt like I was able to let out all my problems because I was able to tell someone,” Mary Ann recalled of her conversation with a Prayer Center representative.

Truly, God uses other people to comfort us. Sometimes, it is through others that we can feel His love and grace for us.

Because of the blessing she received, Mary Ann decided to be a channel of blessing to others as well.

“We don’t have much money, but I really wanted to give to help others in need. I may not be there physically, but at least I am still able to help them in small ways.”

With faith, Mary Ann gave what she had to others, even though she needs it more. Indeed, God saw her heart and gave her a special gift soon after.

She received news that her husband has been hired to work abroad! She considers it to be one of the greatest blessings her family received.

When Mary Ann donated to CBN Asia, she helped reach out to more people who are searching for God’s love, peace, and hope. And her leap of faith opened new doors of blessings for her.

She said, “Giving to God is a huge investment because we can never outgive Him. Whatever we give to the Lord, whether big or small, He will return it hundredfold in ways we do not expect.”

Like Mary Ann, you can trust that God will never neglect those who remain faithful to Him. His ears are always listening to our prayers and His hands are open to pour out blessings. And when we receive these blessings, we must also share them with others.

Be inspired by this verse from Proverbs 11:25 (NIV), “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”

No matter how impossible your situation is, God can turn your sorrow into joy.

He can turn mourning into dancing.

He can turn pain into power.

He can turn defeat into victory.

This is what happened to Eiella May Puno.

Who would have thought that from her messy past, God was creating a beautiful story behind it?

Witness her incredible story that will empower you to trust God even more despite what you’re going through.

Eiella was still young when her parents separated. As a result, she learned to rely on herself.

Through her perseverance, she went to college and took a tourism course. But before she even got her diploma, something happened to her that changed her life.

She got involved in the wrong relationship and got pregnant at an early age.

“I was very stubborn at that time. I didn’t know how to listen to my parents. Maybe because I was affected by their separation,” Eiella shared.

Her mother never left her in those moments. She stayed and helped her get through it.

Because of what happened to her, they struggled financially.

“My mother cried because of our situation. She had a dream of having her own house. But since my older sister was the sole breadwinner and we were simply renting a house, we didn’t have enough money,” she said.

Despite the hardship of being a single mom, she succeeded in raising her son named Calix.

God also blessed her career when she became a brand ambassador in 2018.

“Because of my experiences, I learned how to strive in life. Starting from a simple job, my income grew. I know that the Lord is doing something greater in my life,” she said.

When Eiella accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she ended her relationship with her partner without a second thought.

God is also using Eiella as a social media influencer through her “She Is with Jesus” Facebook page.

She is also grateful for the program that led her to God.

“I am thankful to The 700 Club Asia because God used them as an instrument for us to know Him. What we went through did not hinder us from knowing God,” she gratefully shared.

Borrowing money looks like an easy solution, but if it piles up, you might find yourself drowning in bills and losing good relationships. Alice Clamosa almost lost her husband because of her debts.

Alice is a full-time housewife, who solely depends on her husband’s financial support. Since 2 of their 3 children are still studying, their expenses always exceed their budget. This is a very stressful situation for a mother like Alice, especially since she carries this burden alone because her husband is working overseas.

She decided that she needed to do something about their problem, so she borrowed money from her friends. Alice kept this a secret from her husband.

“I did not want him to worry,” she recalled.

Their bills were paid, and her children’s tuition fees were taken care of, but her debts gradually increased until she could not pay them anymore.

Eventually, her husband found out. Because the money they owed was too big, their arguments over the phone became worse, and they kept blaming one another.

Because of these fights, they ended up separating.

“My world fell apart,” These were her words during the separation.

She knew that she needed to find a job to sustain herself and her family. So, she pushed her chances and applied for work. Not long after, she was accepted as a staff in a fast-food chain.

Just as she thought that everything is going to be fine now, the fast-food chain closed 2 days after she started working. Alice started questioning God.

“Lord, if you really answered my prayer to have a job, why did you take it back?”

As she was watching television, The 700 Club Asia was showing a story about a broken family that was restored by God. Alice did not hesitate to pray along with the host. She was uplifted to know that through God’s help, there’s still a chance to fix her and her husband’s relationship.

After she experienced God’s love through the show, she connected with CBN Asia’s Prayer Center and consistently called to share her burdens and prayer requests.

One day, as she talked to God about her struggles, Alice and her husband had a heart-to-heart talk that helped them understand each other’s side. This led to the restoration of their relationship.

“We’re okay now. Our relationship is smooth-sailing, and he always calls during his free time,” Alice shared.

Alice happily expressed her gratitude, “I am thankful to CBN Asia Prayer Center and The 700 Club Asia. They always give me verses that help to strengthen my faith.”

Along with that blessing, her 2 children both received a college scholarship that really helped appease their financial struggle. Her firstborn passed the board exam and is a registered Engineer, who now helps lessen their debts. (ewea.org)

In abundance or lack, Alice believes that God’s love and care are always enough. He will be there to sustain His children in their needs. Her reminder to all the people who are struggling right now is this, “No matter how difficult your situation is, put your trust in the Lord and never lose hope.”

It’s easy to sing that God is good when all is well. But when we are in the dark valleys of our lives and our faith is weak, is it possible for us to trust, hope, and persevere?

The story of Mitas Ramos answers that question with a resounding “yes” and “amen.”

At a young age, Mitas became an orphan when her mother died of cancer and her father from depression. And just when she thought her misery was over, two more of her loved ones died.

Have you faced a recent loss of your loved one?

Has everything in your life been afflicting you with pain and sorrow?

Mitas was in the same place. With the death of her parents and siblings, the people so dear to her, Mitas was in deep pain.

“I had no time to grieve because of the pain of consecutively losing my parents and siblings. I just couldn’t,” Mitas painfully shared.

In her suffering, she found strength in the Lord. She shared that in her pain, Jesus was her companion as she waited for her healing.

“If it weren’t for God, I would have ended my life,” Mitas said.

In those painful moments, her faith was strengthened through the stories and testimonies featured in The 700 Club Asia. Being blessed by CBN Asia programs, especially Operation Blessing, Mitas decided to partner with God’s ministry—a faithful decision she would never regret.

Ever since that decision, her suffering was replaced with God’s blessing and overwhelming favor. In fact, God blessed her faith with an all-expense paid trip to Israel where she experienced God’s healing and comfort.

However, her faith was put to test once again. In 2016, Mitas found out that she has cancer.

But knowing that God was faithful and loving, Mitas stood her ground as she battled her illness with God as her source of strength and hope. Mitas experienced God’s promises in Psalms 55:22 which says,

“Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”

Looking to God, Mitas experienced His goodness and grace. God provided for her needs in ways she could never imagine. People called and encouraged her, and she would receive bank deposits out of nowhere. Everyone was amazed at how God was moving in her life.

When asked how it was all possible, Mitas would say that she had no idea as well, but she knew that it was all from God.

In times when you feel that the world is against you, afflicting you with troubles here and there, know and believe that God works everything out for your good. Even though we struggle and suffer, we do so for a purpose. So in times of difficulty, choose to kneel and pray. Trust and hope.

There is more to your story than illness and suffering.

In response to her miracle experience, Mitas dedicated her life to spreading the goodness of God to the people around her.

“I saw God’s massive financial breakthrough when I began to give,” Mitas proudly shared.

CBN Asia opened her eyes to the importance of giving, she said. When she was lacking, she discovered that giving was more fulfilling. After all that she’s been through, Mitas declares the goodness of God to the world.

“In our lives, there is no problem or suffering that God cannot resolve.”

Despite our weary faith and our trials, we can persevere because we know God will not leave those who trust in Him. By faith, all will be all right in time.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelations 21:4)

Depressed? Anxious? Physically Ill?

Public school teacher Edilyn De Lima had little time to be all that. But in 2014, she noticed an abnormal lump under her left breast. She had a feeling that it was a sign of something worse.

“It was very painful; it felt like it was going to explode,” Edilyn recalled. “I was thinking, ‘God, what is this cyst? Is this cancer?’”

Edilyn started to feel depressed, anxious, and physically ill, but because of extreme fear, she chose to keep her condition to herself.

Do you also keep your problems to yourself?

Are you also overpowered by fear and worry?

Edilyn could relate to you. She thought that she had no time to succumb to her trials—she has a family to support and a class to take care of. She couldn’t put her loved ones into this. So, for six long years, Edilyn battled silently, hoping that it will soon go away.

But she was wrong.

Her condition did not improve, in fact, it worsened. Until this year, the pain and swelling in her left chest became unbearable. Edilyn could not take the excruciating pain any longer and rushed herself to the hospital.

Right there, she was confronted by the truth that she has been avoiding for so long—her doctors discovered that there is a cancerous cyst growing in her left breast.

“The doctor told me that I need to undergo a biopsy. My mother did not want me to undergo biopsy as she feared it might cause complications,” Edilyn shared.

She has gone through numerous trials in life, but nothing prepared her for the fear, anxiety, and confusion that were caused by the malignant tumor spreading in her body.

In times like these, where do you turn to for hope and comfort?

In this desperate time, Edilyn experienced God’s comforting love through Tanglaw, CBN Asia’s devotional app.

The devotional was about the story of King Jehoshaphat, who won a war despite not having enough soldiers. Edilyn was amazed by how God gave them victory because Jehoshaphat sought him in prayer. She realized that she, too, can seek God’s help.

“Whenever we have problems, look up! Let’s look to the Lord and fix our eyes on Him, because He is a victorious God,” Edilyn declared, claiming victory over her illness.

This message encouraged her to pray and seek God’s guidance. It encouraged her to trust the process and undergo biopsy. During this tough season, the CBN Asia Prayer Center became her prayer companion.

“Everything that I’ve been through at the hospital—step by step—I would message CBN Asia. God truly gave me the strength to face all problems,” Edilyn said.

Praying, waiting, and holding on to her miracle.

This was Edilyn’s posture in front of her adversity. She was told to wait for a month to see the results of her biopsy. But on the 15th day, God surprised her with her long-awaited healing.

“I have never been that nervous in my life. When I heard the results, I cried tears of happiness. They said my tumor is benign!” Edilyn recalled in tears. The doctors successfully extracted the cyst, and by God’s grace, she is completely healed.

Today, Edilyn loves to share about the power of prayer and a God who heals.

“No one is exempted from experiencing trials in life. What’s different about having Jesus in our lives is we have the courage to face those trials,” she ended.

Has money become a source of conflict in your marriage?

Have you been working ‘round the clock but still fail to meet your family’s daily needs?

According to social scientists, one of the reasons why married couples fight or choose to part ways is because of financial incompatibility.

Disagreements happen when couples have different values and priorities in terms of money. They lack communication and do things without their spouse’s consent.

That is what Rosemarie Remo experienced.

Her husband who works as a company driver was earning just enough to provide for the basic needs of their family.

With this kind of financial condition, they could not afford to spend more than their regular budget.

However, Rosemarie struggled with poor money management. She has been guilty of buying impulsively despite experiencing financial difficulties.

When one spouse spends a significant amount of money without their partner’s knowledge, it is called “financial infidelity.”

Often, this weakness in marriage can lead to the loss of trust, love, and peace.

Rosemarie felt it.

She felt that she failed her husband and made her family drown in debt.

Because of the tension and challenges they faced, she felt restless.

Having no one to turn to, Rosemarie found hope as she chanced upon The 700 Club Asia.

She witnessed a story of a couple who overcame their struggle with gambling and unwise money management.

“I cried that time. I said, ‘Can it also happen to me?’” She cried a prayer in her heart, hoping that they would experience victory over financial struggle.

When she prayed, she was also moved to give and take part in the program’s mission to bring hope to the hopeless and hurting.

“I felt comforted and happy. I am happy even if I do not get to experience the same thing that happened in the story I witnessed. (Klonopin) At least I was able to help through my donation.”

But God who called His people to do good works proved to Rosemarie that He is faithful just as Hebrews 10:23 (ISV) says, “Let us continue to hold firmly to the hope that we confess without wavering, for the one who made the promise is faithful.” 

Not long after she donated, her husband became a regular worker and received a salary increase and allowance. Because of that, they were able to pay all their debts in a five-six moneylending scheme. Her children were also able to finish their studies.

But more than the financial breakthrough, Rosemarie is so grateful that she experienced rekindled love in their marriage.

When Rosemarie surrendered her financial worries to God, she learned how to be a blessing despite her lack and struggles. She gave with a cheerful heart expecting nothing in return.

Yet the Lord is gracious and good.

He proved to Rosemarie that He is the God who hears and sees (Genesis 16:13). When people put their trust in Him, He answers their prayers (1 Chronicle 5:20).

Truly, we can never outgive God nor imagine the things He can give and show us.
