What Does Your Faith Look Like?

For Rolly Monsurahis faith is like an array of different colors. For him, his life is God’s beautiful masterpiece.

Even after suffering from polio at such a young ageRolly still sees a bright future ahead of him. He never lost hope because he knew that the God his father introduced to him is a good and loving God.

So instead of focusing on his health conditionRolly honed his talent. The boy developed a passion for the art of drawing and painting. Growing up, he found his spot in the world of marketing as a marketing manager in a hotel.

However, Rolly’s experiences were not always sunshine. He also had a fair share of grief, specifically, when his marriage fell apart. During his darkest days in the 1980she chanced upon The 700 Club and found comfort watching the program.

“Pat Robertson was praying, and there’s always an invitation to call for prayer and counseling. So, I called,” Rolly shared.

Life went on. Rolly resigned from his job and focused on his freelance works in advertising

This change, however, greatly affected their family financially. There came a point when he could not afford the schooling of his son anymore. Fees were piling up.

As a loving father, it broke his heart that he was unable to provide for his son. Once again, Rolly felt his life hit rock bottom.

Yet, he endured these tough challenges and more through prayers and God’s graceHe phoned CBN Asia’s Prayer Center who intently and intensively prayed for him and his family.

“I was calling the Prayer Center almost every week. I have a deadline, but I was assured that God will take care of those things for me,” Rolly recalled.

God turned Rolly’s gloomy moments into hope. His faith burned brighter and stronger in the midst of those trials.

God did not disappoint him. Rolly’s powerful prayers and unwavering faith paved way for God to bless him with a new project that enabled them to pay his son’s tuition fee.

After experiencing God’s kindness firsthand, Rolly decided to pay it forward by being a faithful partner of CBN AsiaBelieving that he is called to be a good steward of God’s blessings, Rolly became a regular donor since then

Now, he continues to live with childlike faith.

Even though I have a lot of shortcomings, God is still good to me. I am very grateful that I was enlightened. Everything fell into place!” Rolly ended.

How about you, what does your faith look likeDo you feel like you’re surrounded by darkness right now?

Like Rolly, believe that you are God’s work of art! Thus, He won’t allow you to perish and be left alone in a gloomy world. Let Him paint your life with vibrant colors of hope and mercy! Suffering may last for a while, but God will reward your faithfulness for His glory.

As what 1 Peter 1:6-7 reminds usIn all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

“If I pray to God, Would He Heal Me?”

Jerby Santiago pondered on this question a lot of times before.

He has a critical heart condition. It needs to be treated immediately or his life will be on the line.

Jerby found out about his condition after suffering from excruciating chest pain. The pumping capacity of his heart was below normal. If not treated any sooner, he has to undergo a heart transplant.

He tried a lot of medications and had been to the emergency room a couple of times. Because of this, fear and sadness started creeping into his heart.

“I didn’t know what to feel knowing that I could die any moment. I still have dreams,” Jerby shared.

His anguish lasted for a year until he chanced upon the Facebook page of The 700 Club AsiaTo his surprise, the real-life stories and inspiring messages he found on the platform gave him his much-needed hope, comfort, and motivation.

Jerby also recalled watching a segment where The 700 Club Asia host and CBN Asia President and CEO gave a message that touched him. “I remembered the first thing he said, ‘You can be healed, just be in faith. God will make a way for you to be healed. Claim it because it’s a free gift’, and there’s nothing God can’t do because He is God.”

After that moment, Jerby reached out to the CBN Asia’s Prayer Center and continued praying with them unceasingly.

“The prayer counselors taught me to not worry because God is listening to our prayers. They said that there’s hope and I will be healed. After that, I became optimistic and put my only hope in God. While science seems to be failing me, God was the only one I could run to,” Jerby said.

As his relationship with God flourished, his health condition miraculously progressed. Partnering earnest prayers with exercise and healthy food, Jerby’s once ailing body gradually regained its strength.

“Before, I can’t even move freely. Now, I can do exercises!” exclaimed Jerby, whose heart is now fully healed and restored.

Through the moving power of prayers, Jerby rests on the promise that the grace of the living God is enough to make people live. “Not everyone with the same condition as mine could live; I knew God is alive. He’s in me and in us,” Jerby ended.

Like Jerby, there’s good news for you. God can heal your broken heart. Whether it’s hurting physically, emotionally, or spiritually, Jesus Christ can mend you – in the best possible way. As said in James 5:15, “And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”

Have faith in God and believe in His miracle. Call to Him through prayers and let the God of healing, complete His work within you.

Are you ready to trust God for your miracle today? Call the CBN Asia Prayer Center at 8737-0-700 and we would be eager to pray for you.

How to Develop your Prayer Life as a Man – Beyond Small Talk

“Real men pray.”

Have you heard of this phrase?

Your one-on-one with God is the most important relationship you should build as a man. When your priority is to seek Him first in all that you do, everything else will just follow.

Beyond Small Talk host, Erick Totañes says, “A man connected to God through prayer, discerns well, hears well, understands well, and lead their lives well and the family that they have.”

Check out these 5 practical tips on how you can develop your prayer life as a man.

1. Start with acknowledging God.

Jesus warns in Matthew 6:7 NKJV, “And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.”

Is this how you pray to God?

The right and effective way to approach Him is to begin by recognizing who He is. It is lifting up, exalting, and magnifying His Holy Name.

2. Pray with intentionality.

Do you pray because you want to deepen your connection with God or do you just want something from Him?

Check your heart because as far as God is concerned, He wants to have an intimate relationship with you and reveal to you the things He has prepared for you.

3. Choose a specific place to pray.

Have you found a special place where you can meet with God?

Yes, you can talk to Him anytime, anywhere, but God wants your full and undivided attention.

In Matthew 6:6 NIV it says, “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

4. Set aside a specific time of the day to pray to God.

Are you too busy to pray?

You can start with 5 minutes with God, as long as you make it a habit to spend time with Him. Before you know it, your foundation of the Word of God has gone stronger, and your relationship with Him sweeter. (https://www.pyramidtimesystems.com/)

5. Pray in the Name of Jesus.

Remember that it is through Jesus Christ that you have direct access to God.

Romans 5:10 NIV says, “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!”
