How Can We Show Grace to Those in Need?

How do you allow God to use you to help others in their times of need?

For Teresita Molina, it is as simple as letting her neighbors stay in her house during a storm.

In October and November 2024, the Philippines experienced strong typhoons that destroyed many homes and caused power outages. Super Typhoon Pepito hit the area of Bagamanoc, Catanduanes, and the residents living in the coastal areas of Barangay Bagatabao were greatly affected.

Among them were Ruby Molina and Aida Calderon, whose houses were completely washed away by nearly two-story-high waves.

Ruby recalled, “All I could do at that time was pray to God that no one would get hurt.” By God’s grace, although their house was destroyed, they were safe.

Teresita, Aida’s neighbor and friend, said, “Helping others is important. If you have the ability to help, do so.”

She allowed Aida and some other neighbors to stay at her house after Aida’s house was completely washed away by strong waves. Teresita’s kindness made Aida feel cared for and loved when she didn’t know what to do.

The spirit of bayanihan continued when Operation Blessing extended their help and provided people with sleeping mats, blankets, and solar-powered lights while they waited for their electricity to be restored.

“What Operation Blessing gave us was very useful,” Aida said.

What Teresita and Operation Blessing have shown reflects what is written in Hebrews 13:16:

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

Are You Grieving the Loss of a Loved One?

If someone dear to you has passed away and you’re not sure how to move forward from it, you are not alone.

You can relate to Chen Gonzaga’s story.

It was not easy for Chen to finish schooling due to the poverty she experienced growing up. Despite the struggles, her father continued to support their family, a sacrifice that many parents make for their children.

This dedication deeply touched Chen, making her realize the importance of education. She worked hard to repay her father’s sacrifices by studying well, even amid sadness and hardships.

At 17, Chen found comfort in watching The 700 Club Asia on television. One day, she heard the host’s prayer that spoke to her heart.

She recalled the prayer, “I know your life has been difficult, but you will finish your studies. This is God’s plan for you.” Those words gave her hope, and she clung to the belief that God would never abandon her.

Chen’s faith grew, and she began attending a Christian church. As she shared His love, her family came to know Christ.

However, life became more difficult when her father passed away from liver cancer around Christmas time. His death was excruciating because he had just begun to grow closer to God and was excited about Bible study.

In times of grief, where do you turn to?

During her grief, Chen turned to the Bible for comfort. She remembered a verse that helped her: “In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.”

Although she struggled with the loss of her father, she trusted that God had a plan for her, even when she didn’t understand it.

After finishing college, Chen moved to Manila to find work but struggled with temporary jobs. With Christmas approaching and money tight, she remembered The 700 Club Asia, which helped comfort those in need.

She decided to give her last Php 500, not knowing how it would help, but trusting in God’s provision.

That act of faith changed her life. She found stable work and is now pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration. Chen now supports her mother and is living the life she once dreamed of.

She continues to give back through campus ministry and donations to CBN Asia, believing that giving is a way to share God’s love and blessings with others.

“They have been tested by great troubles, and they are very poor; but their great joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in rich generosity. I can testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even more than they could afford.” (2 Corinthians 8:2-3 GNT)

Can God’s Grace Heal a Broken Heart?

From bitterness to forgiveness, from despair to hope––is healing possible?

Yes, through God’s grace!

Witness Debbie Ocampo’s story of how God transformed her brokenness into a powerful testimony that will touch your heart.

Growing up, Debbie saw her father leave them due to an affair. This experience filled her heart with pain and bitterness.

Life continued to challenge Debbie. Years after their father left, her mother passed away due to stage 4 cancer, which caused her to fall into depression.

“At that time, I wished I were the one who died instead of my mother,” she shared. Because of this, Debbie began to question God’s presence in her life.

Thankfully, she was surrounded by caring churchmates who supported and uplifted her during her darkest moments.

Years passed and Debbie wanted to go abroad to help her family, but her bitterness toward her father held her back. Yet, God made a way for them to reconnect.

“During Father’s Day, we met again, and I felt like God was telling me to forgive my father,” she shared. Finally, Debbie forgave her father.

Debbie went to Qatar to work, but it wasn’t easy. Her strict employers discouraged her from worshiping God.

“They only let me eat once a day, and they verbally abused me. They also stopped me from going to church because of their religion,” she said.

Despite the restrictions, Debbie’s faith grew stronger. When she couldn’t attend church, she found strength through The 700 Club Asia’s Facebook page.

“I am inspired by The 700 Club Asia’s social media posts. I watched some of their testimonies before bed. I am also encouraged with how they prayed for me through messages,” she shared.

Debbie continued her walk of faith. After a year, her employers eased their restrictions and allowed her to go to church. This allowed her to share her faith with other people.

After completing her two-year contract in 2024, Debbie returned to the Philippines and started a new chapter by launching her food business.

What’s even more amazing is that her relationship with her father was restored. She also began sharing God’s love with him.

“If not for God’s grace, I wouldn’t be here today,” she happily shared.

God can heal anyone’s heart through the power of His grace.

When forgiveness feels impossible, turn to Him. He will give you strength to overcome bitterness and heal your heart like what He did to Debbie.

Experience God’s Generosity

It’s one thing to hear about God’s generosity and another to experience it firsthand.

In 2016, Imelda Benevice tuned in to The 700 Club Asia from the comfort of her home. She was moved by how the ministry helps others in need, inspiring her to become a partner by giving regular donations.

“It feels good to help other people, and I can see how God uses CBN Asia to do that,” she shared.

At that time, Imelda was running a small but steadily growing cake and pastry business. Her decision to give wasn’t because she had plenty of money or was expecting something in return. She gave simply because she wanted to honor God.

Soon after, Imelda began to notice something remarkable: the more she gave, the more customers came to her shop. It became clear to her that God was blessing her faithfulness.

“I wasn’t expecting anything from giving. I was doing it because I love God. But I noticed that every time I gave, I immediately received cake orders,” she said.

But her faith and generosity were tested when her daughter got sick with COVID-19 in 2020. The hospital bill reached Php 200,000, which was way more than she could afford.

Are you also going through a financially challenging situation?

Believe God the same way Imelda trusted in Him.

She trusted God to provide.

In an incredible turn of events, the entire bill was covered by their health cards! Imelda knew it was God’s way of showing that He is always faithful.

Are you going through a tough financial situation right now?

Be encouraged to trust God the same way Imelda did, because the God that provided for her can also provide for you!

Then, in August 2023, Imelda prayed for her niece, who was studying for the Medical Technology board exam. God answered her prayers in ways she didn’t expect. Her niece graduated cum laude, passed the board exam on August 13, and even got a regular job at a hospital by September!

Imelda’s story reminds us of what Jesus said in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.”

How Can We Find Light After the Storm?

This was what the people of Mahatao wondered when typhoon Julian hit the land of Batanes.

Lightless houses, flooded roads, and casualties.

A nightmare that suddenly turned into a reality – this is how Nanay Catalina Balasbas lived after the catastrophic typhoon came.

Her house was one of the many that was plunged into the shadows.

“We had no light, it was dark,” Nanay Catalina recalled.

The thrifted clothes that she used to sell as a means of livelihood were submerged in flood waters. All her plants drowned and were destroyed.

Frightened by the typhoon, Nanay Catalina packed her clothes and other belongings into rice sacks, and stored them inside her house to protect them from being lost in another calamity.

I get nervous every time the typhoon comes,” Nanay Catalina shared.

While this gave her temporary relief, it left no room for her to live inside her home. She had to sleep outside on her rocking chair instead.

To move around in the dark, especially at night, has been a great trial for the citizens of Batanes and this is why Governor Marilou Cayco appealed for help.

“We hope someone would give us solar lights, so that we can have lights even at night,” she said.

Times like this are inevitable, but the power of prayer and bayanihan can overcome life’s challenges.

Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, partnered with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Office of Civil Defense, to deliver life-saving relief to 1,600 families in Batanes. The beneficiaries, including Nanay Catalina, received solar lights, jerry cans, food bags, and medicines.

Operation Blessing also brought the water filtration system through the navy vessel to make sure that our kababayans in Mahatao have clean water to drink.

This sparked hope in the life of Nanay Catalina as she is now able to see better even at night. She was also given a mat and a blanket so that she would still be comfortable when sleeping.

God’s light will always shine through life’s storms—and it is by His grace that we can experience it and share it with others!

Helping others would not be possible if it weren’t for our partners’ prayers and support.

You too, can be a part of this mission, partner with us today and together, let us bring people out of the dark and into the grace of God!

Does God Hear My Prayers?

Whenever you feel lost, hopeless, and desperate, remember that our miracle-working God hears your prayers and is bigger than any problem you face.

Louie and Danilen Serrano got married in 2020, and as newlyweds, they eagerly looked forward to starting their own family.

However, a visit to the doctor revealed that Danilen has Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and it will be difficult for her to bear a child.

Driven by their strong desire to build a family and have a baby, they tried different fertility treatments. However, despite spending significant money on consulting fertility experts, they were still unable to conceive a child.

Danilen became physically exhausted and emotionally hurt every time she saw a negative result on her pregnancy tests.

“We thought that once we consulted a fertility expert, it would be easy for us to conceive a baby. But we’re wrong,” Danilen recalled.

Louie began to question God, asking, “Is it not Your will to bless us with a child?”

Deep in their hearts, they continued to trust that God would hear their prayers.

Until one evening, Louie and Danilen chanced upon an episode of The 700 Club Asia. The host, Peter Kairuz, was praying specifically for women struggling to conceive.

They felt it was no coincidence. It was as if God had guided them to watch the show at that very moment.

They joined the prayer and prayed with all their hearts.

“Sir Peter’s prayer helped restore my faith,” Louie said. “I believed that God would soon bless us with a child.”

Louie and Danilen were referred to a new OB-GYN and decided to try again. This time, with unwavering faith in their miracle-working God.

God saw their hearts and answered their prayer. When Danilen tried to have a pregnancy test, she was surprised to see a positive result. After countless attempts and several heartbreaking disappointments, their long-awaited miracle finally arrived.

“I cried,” Louie said, hugging his wife tightly. “I really thanked the Lord and promised to take care of this blessing He gave us.”

After four years of waiting, Danilen finally gave birth to their child, whom they named Louieze Anaiah.

“As a mother, I am overjoyed,” Danilen shared.

Louie and Danilen continued to watch and support The 700 Club Asia by donating regularly.

Their lives are a testament to the fact that we can overcome any problem life throws at us because God is with us and hears our prayers.

“I have a big God. The problems we face are so little compared to our big God,” Louie said.

A Miracle Healing at a Concert: Is it Possible?

God’s presence, and power are not limited to a place. Whether you’re at church, at home, or even at a concert, God can work in amazing ways—just as He did for Abby Dela Cruz during CBN Asia’s 30th Anniversary Worship Celebration, “Beyond Measure.”

When Abby first heard she needed a medical exam to apply for her internship, she wasn’t worried. But the test results brought news she never expected, she had Pulmonary Tuberculosis (PTB), a contagious illness that would require six months of treatment.

The news left her shaken. Abby has always avoided things like smoking, and she did not hang around those who did.

“So why, Lord?” she cried out in frustration.

With her diagnosis, Abby noticed how differently people treated her. They kept their distance, cautious of her contagious condition. It hurt, but she stayed focused on getting better. Six months of medication later, she was officially cleared of PTB.

Time passed, and she graduated college and launched into her career. It felt like she was moving forward again—until December 2022, when another job application required a medical exam.

The X-ray results came back showing that she has nodular densities in her lungs. Fear crept in, but this time, she chose not to follow up, quietly believing that further tests would be too expensive.

By 2024, during her job’s annual health checkup, her doctor found a lump in her neck. Her mind raced with worry. Could this be something serious? Would she need surgery? Abby was scared.

“Lord, I don’t have the money for this. These illnesses seem like they’re only for the wealthy. Please heal me,” she cried out to God.

If you’ve ever found yourself in a place like Abby’s, struggling with illness and wondering where to find hope, you’re not alone.

Remember: God is powerful. Healing comes in ways we may never expect just as Abby experienced.

Just when Abby felt her hope fading, her pastor invited her to CBN Asia’s 30th Anniversary Worship Celebration, “Beyond Measure.”

She didn’t expect anything big—just an evening of music and maybe a chance to see some celebrities. But that night held a surprise for her.

As the event went on, Peter Kairuz, President and CEO of CBN Asia, prayed over the audience, specifically mentioning healing for people with lumps in their lungs and necks.

Abby claimed that healing and felt something shift inside her. She left with a sense of peace and hope.

The next day, she received her latest medical results: her lungs were clear! She couldn’t believe it.

“For me, it was a miracle and purely God’s grace, not human effort, because I hadn’t taken any medication,” Abby said, in awe of what happened.

Sometimes, God’s healing comes in the most unexpected ways, meeting us right where we are—even in a concert.

Abby left that night with more than a clear diagnosis, she left with renewed faith and gratitude, reminded of a God who sees and heals in ways we can’t imagine.

“Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things He does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” (Psalms 103:2-3 NLT)

CBN Asia is dedicated to transforming lives and bringing hope and miracles—not just at concerts, but right into your home. Join us on this mission and become a partner today!

Does God Really Honor Our Giving?

Imagine: you barely have enough money to spend on your family’s needs. Will you still offer it to the Lord or keep it to yourself?

Carol Alejandro faced the same struggle but what she did is an inspiring example of a leap of faith!

Carol became a mom when she was a second-year college student, but she later graduated and became a registered nurse.

Because of the huge number of nursing graduates at that time, there was a lack of job opportunities. Carol took up a job at the local health center, earning only  Php 100 a day.

After breaking up with her partner, she moved back to her parents’ house with her daughter. She became unemployed, with no means to provide for their basic needs.

During that time, Carol was inspired by the stories of generosity featured in The 700 Club Asia. She, too, wanted to give despite having a lack of resources.

In an act of faith, she donated Php 1,000 to CBN Asia, leaving only Php 200 for her family to get by. She trusted that the Lord would provide for their needs.

True enough, God honored Carol’s joyful giving when she was hired as a private nurse in Makati and earned a lot more than what she gave. She was also soon offered a job in Bahrain.

And the blessings did not stop there! When she settled back in the Philippines in 2019, she got married to her partner and gave birth to a daughter a year after.

More blessings came her way when their Takoyaki shop, which became their source of income during the pandemic, eventually became a stable business. They earned thousands within a few hours!

Carol experienced God’s grace and wants to extend it to others.

She discovered the secret to giving joyfully, “I continue to give to the Lord because I know that everything is from Him in the first place.”

Carol’s story mirrors what the Bible said in 2 Corinthians 9:7: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Your Love Has Reached Typhoon Enteng Survivors

When Typhoon Enteng hit the Philippines, more than 900 people in Antipolo City had to leave their homes, including Sheryl and Rebecca, who each faced heartbreaking challenges.

Yet, amid the chaos, both found hope and comfort through the compassion of kababayans like you, who supported them through Operation Blessing, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm.

Rebecca Rama, a 32-year-old mother, lost her home to the relentless floodwaters. Her first thought was her six children—she just wanted them safe. Although the flood destroyed everything they had, she felt deeply grateful that her family was unharmed.

“When the water surged toward us, thankfully I was able to hold onto my two kids. If I hadn’t, they would have been swept away. My friend finally got to me last, and by then the water was already chest-deep,” Rebecca recalled.

But their struggle didn’t end there; her husband, Markhero, lost several electronic devices he repaired to earn a living, taking away their main source of income.

It was a double blow, but Rebecca held onto hope for her family’s future.

On the other hand, Sheryl Diamante, from Barangay Mayamot, was in a vulnerable place herself—she had just given birth and found herself living in an evacuation center for days.

But in her darkest moment, Operation Blessing’s One Step Ahead campaign showed up with essential supplies, offering her relief and comfort when she needed it most.

“The goods you’re giving us, even just for a single day, are already a blessing. You gave us so much more than that—enough to last several weeks,” Sheryl said.

Operation Blessing, working together with the Shining Light Foundation, acted fast, bringing vital supplies like food, blankets, and mats to families like Sheryl’s and Rebecca’s.

For the two mothers, these weren’t just supplies; they were reminders that they weren’t alone in their struggle.

God used Operation Blessing and donors like you to alleviate the suffering of our kababayans.

Both Sheryl and Rebecca shared how much it meant to them to feel seen and supported by their community, showing just how powerful compassion and generosity can be in helping families rebuild after such a disaster.

When you partner with CBN Asia, you are helping bring real hope and healing to countless Filipinos in need. Your support, no matter the amount, reaches people in their hardest moments, bringing comfort, health, and the love of God to the places that need it most.

Together, we can make a difference, changing lives and creating a brighter future for our kababayans.

Finding Miracles in Obedience

How can anyone give when there’s barely enough to survive?

Faced with the choice of stretching three days’ worth of food or buying medicine for a sick child, would it make sense to obey and give instead?

Can this obedience unlock miracles in your life?

To Madeleine Gimeni, as crazy as it sounds, it did.

Inspired by testimonies on The 700 Club Asia, Madeleine decided to donate to God’s ministry through CBN Asia, even though she struggled to find a job and pay her bank loan.

God did not disappoint her. Shortly after this act of faith, she landed a job that allowed her to repay her debts and ultimately, reconnect with Jesus.

Fast forward to the pandemic, Madeleine found herself in one of her hardest seasons.

Burned out from her job as a social media manager, struggling with her own illness, solo parenting a sick child, and worrying about how to pay for her child’s insurance, she felt empty. With no funds left, all she had was a sense of helplessness—and a desperate hope for a miracle.

Then, in a moment of divine timing, Madeleine watched an episode of The 700 Club Asia. Inspired by a story of a man who gave his last few pesos, she felt God calling her to give.

“The Php 236 I had left in my GCash account—I donated it,” Madeleine recalls in tears. “I just prayed, ‘Lord, I surrender this to You.’

That Php 236, like the widow’s offering in Mark 12:44, was all she had left. Despite the sacrifice, she trusted that God had a plan.

And indeed, her small act of obedience opened the door to a series of little miracles.

She found 50 pesos tucked in her pocket, despite having washed those pants countless times. Her landlady brought them food, and unexpectedly, support from friends and family totaled Php 25,000.

Through this experience, Madeleine learned that God honors obedience, especially when it’s sacrificial. In these moments of surrender, God moves, working out even the hardest situations for good.

If you’re wrestling with a choice that feels impossible, may you remember Madeleine’s story. Sometimes, the miracle lies on the other side of giving, even when it seems like too much. When we trust God in our lack, He shows us His abundance.

As the Psalmist writes in Psalm 37:25 NIV,

“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”

To those who trust and obey Him, even when it’s hard, God promises provision. This is the miracle of giving.
