It’s one thing to hear about God’s generosity and another to experience it firsthand.
In 2016, Imelda Benevice tuned in to The 700 Club Asia from the comfort of her home. She was moved by how the ministry helps others in need, inspiring her to become a partner by giving regular donations.
“It feels good to help other people, and I can see how God uses CBN Asia to do that,” she shared.
At that time, Imelda was running a small but steadily growing cake and pastry business. Her decision to give wasn’t because she had plenty of money or was expecting something in return. She gave simply because she wanted to honor God.
Soon after, Imelda began to notice something remarkable: the more she gave, the more customers came to her shop. It became clear to her that God was blessing her faithfulness.
“I wasn’t expecting anything from giving. I was doing it because I love God. But I noticed that every time I gave, I immediately received cake orders,” she said.
But her faith and generosity were tested when her daughter got sick with COVID-19 in 2020. The hospital bill reached Php 200,000, which was way more than she could afford.

Then, in August 2023, Imelda prayed for her niece, who was studying for the Medical Technology board exam. God answered her prayers in ways she didn’t expect. Her niece graduated cum laude, passed the board exam on August 13, and even got a regular job at a hospital by September!
Imelda’s story reminds us of what Jesus said in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.”
