Precious Derige-Iñigo was only 12 years old when her mother died of cancer. The sudden loss shattered their family, drained their savings, and left her facing life’s challenges at a young age.

“It felt like walking on a dark, endless road,” Precious recalls.
In her early high school years, a close friend invited her to church. During the service, the song ‘Lord, I Offer My Life to You’ began to play, and she felt an overwhelming presence. She cried, knowing in her heart that it was the Lord meeting her where she was.

While she continued attending church, her life changed when she met Kevin.
He is a cheerful co-worker who made her feel comfortable and free to be herself. Over time, they grew closer, and during the pandemic, they decided to live together.

She knew it was against her values but chose to live in it. Marriage seemed out of reach despite their love for each other, and they carried on in that situation for almost a decade.
Her turning point came when a new friend invited her to join an online care group. There, she was introduced to the Tanglaw Devotional App.
One particular message on February 14, 2025, based on Isaiah 1:18, deeply struck her.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18, NIV)
At that moment, Precious felt the Lord telling her, “Yes, you are accepted.”

This conviction stirred her heart to align her life with God’s will. In just one month, she and Kevin decided to get married, something they had been unable to do for years.
As they obeyed God, blessings began to overflow. They received provision for their wedding and, soon after, were granted the new home they had long prayed for.

Today, Precious lives with gratitude and purpose.
She desires to reach out to those in situations like hers. She hopes her story will encourage others to take that one step of obedience, trusting that the Lord will meet them with grace, provision, and lasting hope.
“God will send someone to help you, someone who will lead you to Him. So you will know you are not alone,” Precious said.
