Is Doing Good Really Worth It?

Have you ever wondered if your small acts of kindness even make an impact?

For Liza Andal, her commitment to doing good has made an impact on hundreds of people’s lives. Be inspired by her story.

Liza has worked in Israel as a caregiver for 18 years. As she lived there, God placed a mission in her heart.

“There must be a reason why I’m still here,” Liza shared.

She became part of an organization in Israel called BARACO (Batangas Radiant Colligation) that aims to help people in need, people with disabilities, and families who were hit by calamities.

As she continued to serve in this organization, she crossed paths with Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines. She was inspired to work hand-in-hand in blessing others and helping her kababayans in need.

“In this town, people don’t usually go to hospitals for check-ups because they worry about their lack of money,” Liza exclaimed.

When you are doing good things, sometimes it may feel like it doesn’t make a difference.

But this is the truth: simple acts of kindness can become the hope that someone is praying for. Your good deeds can change lives.

One of the beneficiaries of the medical mission conducted by Operation Blessing and BARACO is Liza Ebora, an elderly woman suffering from a condition that made it difficult for her to move around.

Because of the meaningful partnership, Liza received a new wheelchair and some much-needed supplies.

“Thank you for the blessing you have given me. With my condition, this is a big help for me. Thank you, Lord, and thank you, everyone,” Liza gratefully shared.

Who would’ve thought that a simple wheelchair and supplies could bring comfort to the lives of people? This is love in action, and it is a love that makes a difference.
Do you sometimes wonder why people live in different circumstances? Some do well, while others suffer.

But for Liza Andal, an Operation Blessing partner and volunteer, she sees it as an opportunity to display God’s love. For those who are able, she believes that God’s purpose for them is to become a channel of blessing to those who don’t have the same privilege.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”  Galatians 6:9 NIV
