“Why am I going through this?”
Have you ever whispered this in the middle of your struggles?
For Imy Ege, motherhood was one of life’s sweetest gifts. Her daughter, Angel Destiny, was her answered prayer.
Everything was going well, until two separate doctor visits revealed she had lumps in her ovaries.
The only choice was surgery. And with it came a heartbreaking truth that she could no longer have another child.
“It was painful. But I told myself God must have a reason for giving me just one child,” Imy recalled.
Yet before she could even recover emotionally, another storm came. She was diagnosed with cancer.
The doctors advised six therapy sessions, but with their financial situation, she could only manage four.
“Lord, why do I have to suffer like this?” she asked God. Slowly, hopelessness and depression began to creep in.

Imy searched for answers, too.
Until one day, while watching Kata Inocencio share her testimony on The 700 Club Asia’s YouTube channel, something shifted in Imy’s heart.
“God is bigger than this cancer. This is just a sickness, but God is God.”
Those words stayed with her. She started praying more and trusting on God’s promises. She held on tightly to what God told King Hezekiah in the Bible:
“I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” (2 Kings 20:5 NIV)
She believed God could do the same for her.
God did not disappoint. In November 2023, her prayers were answered. She was declared cancer-free!
For Imy, it was a display of God’s miracle, a proof that God can turn her situation around for good.
“Thank you, CBN Asia and The 700 Club Asia, for being God’s instrument to encourage me during those tough times. I’ve learned that I should depend on God and come to Him no matter what,” she shared.
