Life’s Breakings Can Lead to God’s Breakthroughs

Does life seem overwhelming, and you are on the verge of giving up?

You are not alone. God is working in ways you cannot see yet.

Just like how He moved in the life of Ubie Inocencio. Let her story inspire you.

Ubie raised her two children alone after losing her husband in 2016 due to heart attack and ruptured brain artery.

As a single working mom, she juggles everything — making ends meet, taking care of her children, battling loneliness, and figuring out how to give them a better future. This drained Ubie.

In the face of challenges, where do you find strength?

For Ubie, The 700 Club Asia became her anchor to remain strong in her faith.

Hearing testimonies from the show and receiving prayers from CBN Asia Prayer Center counselors help her to continue fighting in life despite what she’s going through.

“It’s really difficult. But I am able to get through that time because of their prayers. I feel relieved whenever I get to talk to the prayer counselors, because it’s as if the Lord is right beside me whenever they pray for me,” she testified.

Not just that, Ubie even generously gave to Operation Blessing, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, despite knowing that she’s struggling too. Her situation did not stop her from being a blessing to others and changing their lives.

“Whenever I watch Operation Blessing, it has really become a habit for me to donate even just a small amount because it allows me to help others,” she shared.

Because of Ubie’s bold step of faith, the Lord honored her obedience. She passed the Civil Service Exam on her third attempt after failing twice. The Lord blessed her sacrifice and helped her succeed.

Her breaking moments became her stepping stones toward her breakthroughs. Those tough times allowed her to experience God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Ubie never lost hope, she was confident that God would take care of her family. And God did. Today, she has a stable job, her family is cared for, and she continues to inspire through her faith, generosity, and unwavering trust in God.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)

In her weakest moments, she found true strength by relying on God. Her story is a reminder that you can always count on Him in any season.

God Sees and Rewards Your Generous Heart

Do you struggle to give when you barely have anything left?

Dina Sison’s story proves that our resources do not come from our own ability, but from a God who faithfully cares and provides.

It all starts with having a heart like God’s. Dina was encouraged to join CBN Asia after watching The 700 Club Asia and seeing the ministry’s humanitarian efforts.

It inspired her to become a volunteer at CBN Asia while teaching preschoolers and working in a production company full time, until God opened a permanent position for her in 2024. As Dina enjoys her job, God started to use her in His Kingdom building.

In one of CBN Asia’s all-staff gathering, Dina believes God spoke to her through the guest speaker, Maloi Salumbides.

“Invest on others and invest on eternity by being a faithful partner of your own ministry,” she recalled.

This made a mark on Dina’s heart as she realized she can be part of the cheerful givers supporting the ministry’s mission to share Jesus and help others.

When God calls you, do you instantly respond, or do you find it hard to obey?

Dina wanted to obey wholeheartedly. However, where there is spark, there can also be the wind that quickly blows off the fire in one’s heart.

Though she wanted give and support the ministry, bills and expenses kept piling up. She worried that there won’t be enough left for her daily needs.

This worry came from one of her trials in the past – when her mom had an eye operation and they were not financially ready.

“I don’t want to worry again about where to get the needs of my mother,” Dina shared.

Thankfully, God works in mysterious ways. As she walks in the dark, God met her, became her light, and helped them get through this tough time.

This trial became a reminder and a promise from God that she held on to.

“God provided for my mom, He can do it again,” Dina declared as she reminds herself of what God promised.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NIV)

With joy and courage from God’s reminder, Dina committed to give monthly to CBN Asia.

God honored her obedience. He blessed Dina through her relative, who provided enough funds to support her trip to Japan for her cousin’s wedding.

The blessings did not stop there–God also used Dina to bless others, one of them being her sister, who went on a mission trip to Japan.

“Even if we are lacking, the Lord will never run dry in providing for us,” Dina testified.

Is it your desire to obey God fully, yet your financial struggles make giving feel impossible?

May Dina’s story give you joy and confidence that God is a promise keeper and rewards the cheerful giver. Partner with us today, visit cbnasia.com/give.

How Can I Keep Going When Hope Seems Far Away?

When hope feels out of reach, it has a way of showing up where it’s needed most.

This is the story of how hope found Tonya Vinluan.

Tonya, a mother from an Aeta community in Sitio Dueg in San Clemente, Tarlac, has known hardship all her life.

“Sometimes, my family wouldn’t eat for two days. We would just sleep it off because there was no food,” she recalled.

So when she became a mother, Tonya did everything she could to provide for her kids. She planted crops, carried 50 to 60 kilos of seeds across two mountains, and even walked the city streets asking for help—just to put food on the table.

Despite all her efforts, it was not enough to sustain their growing needs. Hope slipped through her fingers as she watched her children suffer, their eyes reflecting a pain no child should bear.

Seeing other children live in comfort while hers endured hardship shattered her heart a little more.

Hope felt distant. Slipping. Almost gone.

When hope fades, where do you find the strength to hold on?

For Tonya, hope came through an unexpected answered prayer—Operation Blessing’s Bless-A-Child program. Through it, God reminded her that she was not forgotten, and neither were her children.

Through Bless-A-Child, children in underserved communities receive healthy meals, free medical check-ups, and essential school supplies. The program ensures that every child has the opportunity to grow strong, learn well, and dream big.

Beyond meeting immediate needs, Operation Blessing also empowers parents through livelihood assistance and trainings—helping them create lasting changes in their lives.

“This is a big blessing for us here in our community. For people like us who live in far-flung areas and have no capacity to provide for our families, your heart to reach us is amazing,” Tonya shared.

Her family’s situation improved greatly, and it’s all because God’s hope reached them right where they are.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” (Galatians 6:9-10 NIV)

God Can Turn Your Prayer into a Miracle

When was the last time you witnessed a miracle?

For Milagros Napilot, that moment came unexpectedly.

Milagros, who serves as a cook in their church, suddenly struggled to breathe after a long day. Her daughter, Zam, noticed something was terribly wrong when she saw saliva dripping from her mother’s mouth and Milagros no longer responding.

What started as a normal day at church quickly turned into a frightening moment for their family.

Rushed to the hospital, Milagros was found in critical condition. Her blood sugar had spiked dangerously, and her kidneys were failing.

“Lord… are You going to take my mother?” Zam cried out in despair.

Milagros spent two long weeks in the ICU. Because the hospital had no dialysis machine, she had to be transferred to another hospital in Manila for treatment.

However, finding a hospital with an available dialysis slot was difficult, and her condition continued to worsen. Her body began to swell, and she started to produce a black discharge. Because of this, the doctors said that Milagros will need to undergo dialysis for the rest of her life.

“I was heartbroken when I found out I would need dialysis for the rest of my life. I kept thinking about where we would get the money and how hard it would be for me and my family,” Milagros recalled.

Are you praying for healing? Hold on to faith and trust that God hears every prayer.

While Milagros fought for her life in the hospital, she held tightly to the prayers of her loved ones. One of Milagros’ close friends, Priscilla, reached out to The 700 Club Asia Preshow, and asked viewers to pray for her.

During the Live Kwentuhan, the hosts prayed for Milagros, bringing hope to her and her family.

God heard that powerful prayer, and a miracle happened! After just the third of six dialysis sessions, the black discharge that had been troubling Milagros’ body stopped completely.

“The doctors told me my condition has improved, and I no longer need to undergo dialysis,” Milagros shared with joy.

Her condition gradually improved, and thanks to the support they received, they didn’t have to pay any medical bills.

“I was amazed by the generosity of people who helped us financially. We were able to buy my mother’s medicines,” Zam shared.

If you are praying for healing—for yourself or for a loved one—let Milagros’ story inspire you of God’s faithfulness and the power of prayer. When hope seems lost, the power of prayer can turn fear into a miracle.

“Thank you to The 700 Club Asia and everyone who prayed for me. Through their prayers, God showed me that He truly listens and answers to our prayers,” Milagros said.

Can God Restore a Mother’s Life Through Prayer?

Billy didn’t know it yet, but he was about to see it for himself.

When the phone rang that day, Billy felt his heart sink.

His mother, Corazon, had suffered a sudden seizure and was rushed to a hospital in Cabuyao. Everything happened so fast that Billy could barely understand what was going on.

“On my way there, I was trembling with fear,” he recalled.

When Billy arrived at the hospital, the news hit him like a heavy blow.

“They told me my mother was 50/50… that it was impossible for her to recover.”

The doctors warned that she might end up in a vegetative state. Standing there, Billy felt helpless, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on him. Yet in the midst of fear, he grasped the only lifeline he had, faith.

He whispered the prayer that poured straight from his heart.

“Lord, please heal my mother. Restore her.”

Like Billy, are you worried about a loved one’s health? If so, you can bring your concerns to God in prayer, like what he did.

Even as worry threatened to consume Billy, a quiet peace began to settle over his spirit, “The Lord will not allow the negative things I imagine to happen.”

Longing for hope, Billy found himself scrolling through The 700 Club Asia Facebook Page, almost as if God gently led him there.

With trembling hands and a heavy heart, he sent a message asking for prayer for his mother. It wasn’t long or complicated, just a son’s desperate cry wrapped in faith.

A prayer counselor responded and prayed for his mom and family. Billy clung to that moment. Every word felt like a reminder that God is still in control.

Deep inside, he believed, “’Lord, I want to see Your glory’. God is going to do something great.”

Days later, the impossible happened. Nanay Corazon woke up.

Slowly at first, then fully, moving her hands, body, and even speaking clearly. Doctors were stunned. Her recovery wasn’t supposed to be possible. Yet here she was, sitting up, smiling, and gaining strength day by day. It was a miracle that no medical explanation could fully capture.

And the miracle didn’t stop there. All their hospital bills, every single one, were provided for. The burden that Billy feared would crush their family was lifted completely. Nanay Corazon went home restored, healed, and stronger than before.

Today, almost six years later, she continues to walk in the strength God gave her.

“It was a big miracle… and God gave me strength again!” Nanay Corazon testified.

That experience changed Billy. What began as a desperate cry for help became a living testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Grateful for what God has done and for the support he received through The 700 Club Asia, Billy made the decision to give and support the ministry’s mission. For him, it was a way to sow back into the work that stood with him through one of the hardest moments of his life.

And now, he holds a deeper confidence in God’s love and provision, one he carries into his daily life and shares with his family.

“I can say that God truly provides,” Billy happily shared.

If you’re facing a difficult situation today, maybe sickness, fear, or uncertainty, know that God sees what you’re going through. The same God who restored Nanay Corazon is the same God who can move in your situation.

“For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 NKJV)

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, please touch every person reading this. Bring healing where there is sickness, peace where there is fear, and provision where there is need. Remind them that nothing is impossible for You. Surround them with Your comfort, strength, and hope. Amen.

Here’s How You Can Find Hope in Your Darkest Moments

Have you ever wondered if hope can still be found when everything falls apart? When life keeps throwing a series of trials, and you don’t know what to do.

Kate Boren found herself in the same situation, too.

Worry filled her when her firstborn, Isaiah, was diagnosed with autism at 2 years old. The doctor’s observation about their son’s speech delay left Kate and her husband distressed.

Yet, amid their concern, she was also in denial. Countless questions flooded her mind as she poured out her heart to the Lord, wondering why this was happening to her family when she had been faithfully serving at church.

During this challenging season, Kate came across an episode of The 700 Club Asia featuring Daisy Callanta, a mother who faced a similar struggle with her son, Josiah.

Hearing their testimony rekindled Kate’s hope and renewed her faith that Isaiah, too, would one day find his voice. It was also through the program that the friendship between the two women blossomed.

With consistent therapy, her son’s speech began to improve, bringing immense joy to the family. Their happiness grew even more when Kate was blessed with another son.

However, another wave of hardship struck when she lost her job during the pandemic, forcing her to stop Isaiah’s therapy sessions. Not long after, Kate also suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage, losing what would have been their third child.

Overwhelmed by grief, she fell into depression and felt utterly hopeless.

Where do you turn to in the middle of your pain?

God comforted Kate through one of her passions—music.

Her husband, Francis, stood by her side and offered encouragement by suggesting she try busking. Though hesitant at first, Kate decided to give it a try.

Singing and playing the guitar for a live audience became her way of praising the Lord, especially as she performed worship songs. In doing so, she not only expressed her devotion but also inspired those who listened.

The new source of income allowed her son to resume his therapy sessions, where he continued to make steady progress.

As Kate continued watching The 700 Club Asia, her faith in the Lord grew even stronger and reminded her of His guidance and provision at every step of her life.

“You will fall and then you will get back up. You will learn to trust completely in the Lord,” she shared.

If you’re struggling to find hope in your darkest moment, remember that God has not left you. The same God who spoke light into the darkness can speak life into your situation.

God moved in Kate’s life. He can do the same for you.

Are You Facing the Impossible?

What if that very challenge could also become the proof of God’s power in your life?

For May Ann Isturis, that’s exactly what happened.

In 2013, May Ann felt a lingering anxiety after taking medicine for a mild case of mumps. Something didn’t feel right for her.

When she went for a checkup, she learned she was nine weeks pregnant. The doctor warned her to expect side effects—but nothing could have prepared her for what was coming.

When she gave birth to her youngest, their joy quickly turned to fear. The doctors discovered that her baby, Clhea, had a severe heart condition.

“With all the different types of heart conditions she has, I thought she might not make it. What I feared most was losing her too soon,” May Ann emotionally shared.

When trials seem impossible to overcome, where do you find hope?

For May Ann, The 700 Club Asia became a lifeline. One evening, she and her husband chanced upon the program where the host was praying for children with heart conditions. She immediately joined and claimed the prayer for Clhea.

She also reached out to the CBN Asia Prayer Center for guidance and comfort. The encouragement she received strengthened her in the darkest moments, reminding her that God is with her.

Even in hardship, the couple found hope in giving.

“Even when you’re in need, it feels different when you can help someone,” she said.

At just three years old, Clhea underwent her first major surgery. Years later, in 2018, another major operation had to be performed on her heart.

Fear gripped May Ann as she worried that her daughter might not survive this time. But her husband reminded her that Clhea’s innocent faith, expressed even in a simple drawing, was a sign of trust in God.

Sometimes, it’s the children who show us what real faith looks like.

Are you facing something that feels completely out of your control? Maybe what you need is not to keep it all together, but to have a childlike faith that whispers, “Jesus loves you, and He is in control.”

That’s exactly what May Ann held on to when her daughter underwent the Extracardiac Fontan—an open-heart surgery meant to help her blood flow properly. When Clea’s condition turned critical, May Ann did the only thing she knew to do—she surrendered her daughter completely to God in prayer.

“Lord, I know You love Clhea. I surrender her to You, and I believe You will bring her back to me,” May Ann prayed.

Once again, the Prayer Center became their refuge. The consistent prayers and support lifted their hearts as Clhea slowly recovered.

For 43 long days, she fought for her life in the hospital—every heartbeat a reminder of God’s faithfulness. But with each passing day, their hospital bills kept growing, until the total soared past 1.5 million pesos.

God proved His faithfulness again through generous donations. Thankfully, every expense was covered. May Ann recalls leaving the hospital not only relieved but also with a heart full of gratitude.

Today, Clhea thrives. Every heartbeat, every smile, is living proof of God’s miracle.

“Clhea became the reason we drew closer to the Lord,” May Ann testified.

Clea’s story reminds us that even when life feels out of control, God is still working behind the scenes—healing, providing, and proving His power through our faith.

Like May Ann, you can also experience how God turns fear into faith and impossibility into victory.

Are You Tired of Feeling Empty Inside?

You feel like something is missing.

It’s a longing you can’t quite name.

Mary Ann Tiu knows exactly how you feel. Her life seemed perfect on the outside—she grew up in a comfortable home, finished a good degree, built a successful business, and had a loving husband and children.

People around her thought she had it all. But deep down, she knew something was missing.

Behind her success was a heart quietly aching. She often felt anxious and restless. The joy she once found in her success slowly faded, and even in her marriage, she found herself struggling. She longed for peace, something that no achievement or possession could give.

Do you relate to her struggle?

Like Mary Ann, are you feeling that emptiness too?

Don’t worry, you can find hope too, just like Mary Ann did.

One night, while watching television, Mary Ann came across The 700 Club Asia. Host Peter Kairuz was sharing about peace and marriage, and the message spoke to her heart. The words felt personal, like God Himself was inviting her: “Come with Me.”

She prayed along the host and accepted Jesus in her life. Moved by what she heard, she called the CBN Asia Prayer Center and pledged ₱10,000.

A week later, she received a Bible from CBN Asia with her name engraved on the cover.

“I felt so special. It was like God was telling me, ‘This is for you. Read Me,’” Mary Ann recalled.

As she began reading the Bible, a new hunger grew inside her, a longing to know God more.

A friend invited her to a Bible study, and there she finally felt the peace she had been searching for. Her husband, who used to drive her there, eventually joined her too. Slowly, they both experienced growth in faith.

Today, Mary Ann faithfully serves in her church and partners with CBN Asia, where she is recognized as one of its “Pillars.”

“I look back from where I started, that’s why I will never forget this program, The 700 Club Asia. It’s always in my heart. I will continue to be one of its donors. Until my last breath, I will serve Him,” Mary Ann committed.

Are you tired of feeling restless, lost, and empty?

Mary Ann’s story is a beautiful reminder that when God fills our emptiness, He doesn’t just restore us—He overflows through us to touch others. The same God who changed Mary Ann’s life can use yours to change someone else’s too.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV)
