Ubie raised her two children alone after losing her husband in 2016 due to heart attack and ruptured brain artery.
As a single working mom, she juggles everything — making ends meet, taking care of her children, battling loneliness, and figuring out how to give them a better future. This drained Ubie.
In the face of challenges, where do you find strength?
For Ubie, The 700 Club Asia became her anchor to remain strong in her faith.
Hearing testimonies from the show and receiving prayers from CBN Asia Prayer Center counselors help her to continue fighting in life despite what she’s going through.
“It’s really difficult. But I am able to get through that time because of their prayers. I feel relieved whenever I get to talk to the prayer counselors, because it’s as if the Lord is right beside me whenever they pray for me,” she testified.
Not just that, Ubie even generously gave to Operation Blessing, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, despite knowing that she’s struggling too. Her situation did not stop her from being a blessing to others and changing their lives.
“Whenever I watch Operation Blessing, it has really become a habit for me to donate even just a small amount because it allows me to help others,” she shared.
Because of Ubie’s bold step of faith, the Lord honored her obedience. She passed the Civil Service Exam on her third attempt after failing twice. The Lord blessed her sacrifice and helped her succeed.
Her breaking moments became her stepping stones toward her breakthroughs. Those tough times allowed her to experience God’s goodness and faithfulness.
Ubie never lost hope, she was confident that God would take care of her family. And God did. Today, she has a stable job, her family is cared for, and she continues to inspire through her faith, generosity, and unwavering trust in God.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)
In her weakest moments, she found true strength by relying on God. Her story is a reminder that you can always count on Him in any season.
