When life takes away all that you’ve built, where do you turn for strength and hope?
For Renato Hingone, faith in God helped him begin again. So if you are going through life’s storms, let his story inspire you.

Renato and his family were among the many survivors of Super Typhoon Tino when it struck Liloan, Cebu, last year. In the blink of an eye, strong winds and relentless floodwaters swept away his home and small business.
As the disaster unfolded, he felt a profound sense of loss and helplessness, watching everything he had worked for disappear almost instantly. As a father of three, his biggest concern was how to help his family rebuild their lives.
Amid the struggles, Renato cast all of his worries to God and volunteered for Operation Blessing’s disaster response program in their community. He helped repack and distribute relief goods to fellow survivors.

Renato fully trusted the Lord for provision because despite the loss, serving others became his source of strength. Each bag of rice and canned goods he prepared was not just relief items—it was a testimony of hope. It was a reminder that even in difficult seasons, God can use him to share His love with others.
Do you believe the same?
Do you believe God can use you to bless others—even while you’re going through your own struggles?
Even in your pain, your faith and willingness to help others can be a source of hope not just for the community, but also for yourself.
That’s what happened to Renato.
Just a few months later, Operation Blessing initiated a livelihood turnover—and Ronato was one of the beneficiaries!

He received essential supplies such as fresh ingredients, meat stock, and appliances that helped his family rebuild their business and get back on their feet.

Are you facing life’s storms?
Renato’s journey is a beautiful reminder that God is faithful. No matter what storm you’re going through, take heart—the Lord restores and renews all things. Hold fast to faith, and trust that God can restore you and help you bring healing to others.
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25 NIV)
