Marissa was having a hard time sleeping. She thinks she has a psychological problem because of overthinking. One night, while feeling overwhelmed, she chanced upon an episode of The 700 Club Asia, and it brought her peace.
“Pastor Peter Kairuz said that anyone who was sick at that moment should join him in prayer,” Marissa shared. “I asked God to heal me completely, from head to toe. After I prayed, all my pain suddenly disappeared.”
Because of the healing she received from the Lord, Marissa started to have a deeper relationship with Him. Feeling inspired and grateful, she also decided to support the ministry behind The 700 Club Asia, CBN Asia.
“I pray that I can help The 700 Club Asia, just like how they help others,” she said.
Because of her faithful giving, God blessed her with a seashell export business. God didn’t stop there.
In 2021, Marissa reached out to the CBN Asia Prayer Center with a prayer request. She was praying for her son’s student visa application to be approved so he could study in Canada. And true enough, God answered her prayer.
In 2022, Marissa faced a huge problem when her bank account was hacked, and she lost Php 400,000.
“The money was meant for my business. But sadly, it was all gone,” she recalled.
Despite all the challenges she faced, Marissa chose to lean on God’s Word. She found strength and hope in Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
“Whenever I feel weak or down, I remind myself that God will never leave me. I trust Him completely and hold on to His promises,” Marissa shared.
Not long after, she began to see her prayers being answered. God used Marissa’s sister to help her get back on her feet.
“I’m very happy. I asked God to restore everything I lost, and He did. I also prayed that He would use me to be a channel of blessing to others,” Marissa recalled.
Looking back on everything she went through, Marissa is very grateful to the Lord.
“I thank the Lord because He never left me. Even during the hardest times, I knew He was right there with me,” she testified.
Marissa also learned one thing: When God is with you, you can live a peaceful life.
