Gary V Raises P6M in Two-Night Online Concert for COVID-19 relief | Operation Blessing

Gary Valenciano raised over 6 million pesos during his two-day Facebook Live concert, “Gary V: HOPEFUL,” organized to support front liners and communities deeply affected by COVID-19, through Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines (OB) and Shining Light Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who supported “Gary V: HOPEFUL!”

Because of your generosity, OB can continue to reach out and extend God’s love to more patients, farmers, daily wage earners, delivery crew, local government personnel, indigenous groups, PWDs, street kids, and homeless individuals who are greatly affected by the quarantine.

“We will continue to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to hospitals still requesting for PPEs, then provide food supply and hygiene kits to thousands of families in Luzon, Bicol, Davao and Tacloban, and some Lumad communities,” said Gigi Endaya, Manager for Corporate Communications and Resource Development of Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines.

Apart from raising funds, Gary V, who has been an active partner and volunteer of CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm for over 25 years, also celebrated his 37th anniversary in showbusiness through the FB live concert.

He sang his timeless hits, “Hataw Na,” “’Wag Mo Na Sanang Isipin,” and crowd favorites, “Narito,” “Look In Her Eyes,” “‘Di Bale Na Lang,” and “Sana Maulit Muli.

He encouraged Filipinos here and abroad and offered a tribute to the brave front liners by singing “Ipagpatuloy Mo, Galing ng Pilipino,” “Kapit Pinoy,” and “Babalik Ka Rin.

Gary V also serenaded thousands of viewers with his hit single, “How Did You Know” and surprised all viewers with a duet with his daughter Kiana for “What More Can I Say” and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid for “Each Passing Night.”

The hitmaker also brought hopeful messages amid the global pandemic through his songs, “Ililigtas Ka Niya,” much-requested “The Warrior Is A Child,” and “Take Me Out of the Dark,” before concluding his concert with a prayer.

With all the support his fundraising anniversary concert received, Gary V offered heartfelt gratitude to everyone who watched and donated.

“This is not even about Gary V. It’s not,” he shared. “It’s everything that has to do with what I’m standing for. Through this, hopefully, I can instill a little hope in the hearts of those who might seem hopeless.”

Gary V Sparks Hope for Frontliners, Kababayans In Need through Online Anniversary Concert

Gary Valenciano celebrates 37 solid years in show business by bringing hope amid COVID-19 through a two-day online fundraising concert, “Gary V: HOPEFUL,” this Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, at 8:30 PM.

Gary V will be streaming live from his own home to raise funds for Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, and Shining Light Foundation. This is to support frontliners and families severely affected by the enhanced community quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The multi-awarded hitmaker has been an active partner and volunteer of Operation Blessing and CBN Asia for more than 25 years. Gary has joined several dental and medical missions, wheelchair distribution, school supplies distribution, and wells turnover for our kababayans in provinces like Pampanga, Bicol, Iloilo, and Davao. His wife, Angeli Valenciano, is a member of the OB Philippines board of trustees.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Operation Blessing has provided much-needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), preventive care kits, and food packs to 60 public and private hospitals, in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bataan, Pampanga, Palawan, Iloilo, and Davao. Aside from serving medical, military, and police frontliners, Operation Blessing also reached out and extended God’s love to vulnerable individuals – patients, farmers, daily wage earners, delivery crew, local government personnel, indigenous groups, PWDs, street kids and homeless individuals who were greatly affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

You, too, can help our kababayans in need. Watch and support Gary V.’s online concert, “Gary V: HOPEFUL,” this Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, at 8:30 PM on Gary Valenciano Official and Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines Facebook pages.
