Reverb Worship PH Hosts First Open Mic Event “Resonate”

Reverb Worship PH held its very first Open Mic event, “Resonate,” last August 29, 2025, at the CBN Asia office in Makati.

The gathering brought together friends, musicians, Reverb Worship artists, and music lovers who simply wanted to listen and connect.

It kicked off with a fun and meaningful icebreaker that helped everyone get to know each other—setting the tone for what the night was also about: building connections.

Christian musicians from different backgrounds, churches, and walks of life came together to share their music. Performers like Pasky, Adiel, Cassie, Remz, Francis Soriano, Marc Danielle, and Grace Vidad with her family took the stage to sing both covers and original songs. Reverb Worship artists Vee Jay Dela Calzada and Rhea Rodriguez also blessed the audience with heartfelt performances.

But the night wasn’t just about music—it was about stories. Each song carried a testimony, each lyric spoke of faith, struggles, and hope. It was a beautiful reminder that music is more than melodies; it’s a way to tell stories that inspire and resonate with our hearts.

That’s exactly why the event was called Resonate.

“We hoped that each song would not just inspire but reverberate in the hearts of the people. So that when they go back and remember it, they’ll be led into an encounter with Jesus,” shared CBN Asia’s Vice President for Media, Icko Gonzalez.

The most powerful part of the night was when everyone lifted their voices in worship, guided by Rhea and Vee Jay. The Reverb Worship team also prayed and ministered to the attendees, making the night even more meaningful.

One performer, Grace Vidad, came with her husband and two daughters who also performed. She shared how this opportunity was God’s way of reminding her not to give up despite her family’s struggles.

“This opportunity is God’s message to me not to stop. He reminded me that He sees me, He sees what we’re going through. He knows that the songs I write are for Him,” Grace expressed with gratitude. “I thank Reverb Worship and CBN Asia for this opportunity to sing with my family again.”

Beyond music, Resonate carried a deeper purpose. Part of the donations collected will go toward supporting a scholar, chosen by Reverb Worship and Operation Blessing.

“This program gives underprivileged students a chance to pursue their education and dreams. Isn’t it wonderful that while you’re enjoying music, you’re also helping someone?” shared Ivy Catucod, CBN Asia’s Special Projects Assistant Manager.

To top it off, guests enjoyed giveaways and raffle prizes, made possible by generous partners like Ptr. Lester Macaya and Mr. John Go of DB Audio by Astron and Serenity Gifts. Their support made the event extra special, and we’re deeply grateful.

Resonate was more than just an open mic night, it was a night of worship, community, and purpose. It reminded us that music can unite people, tell stories, and even change lives.

We invite you to partner with us in creating more opportunities like this—events that not only inspire but also make an impact. Together, we can spread God’s love through music and support those in need.

Does Real Love Still Exist?

Have you ever longed for a love that doesn’t leave, betray, or break you?

That was the pain that Edeline Orani carried for years. Empty pockets and an empty heart defined her childhood. She never felt her parents’ love.

So, Edeline searched for love through romantic relationships. It didn’t matter if she got hurt—or even if the man she was with was already married.

She had two children with a married man, but constant fights and pain tore them apart.

Edeline was left to raise her two children on her own… until she met a man who helped and supported her. The plot twist? He was also a married man.

But instead of feeling joy, Edeline was constantly overwhelmed with sadness and anxiety about their relationship.

Until one night, Edeline saw The 700 Club Asia on TV and was inspired by stories of how other people’s lives were transformed by God.

She then reached out to the CBN Asia Prayer Center for help finding a nearby church.

Soon, she was introduced to a Christian church where her faith began to grow deeper.

The 700 Club Asia is a big part of my life. It helped me learn about God and how to trust Him despite challenges,” Edeline shared.

On her path to transformation, Edeline ended her relationship with her partner. Later, she entered another relationship—but when she had a stroke, he walked away.

During those painful moments, Edeline’s faith in God grew stronger. Despite the heartbreak and setbacks, she continued to trust Him and to receive His forgiveness for all her past mistakes.

She cried out to God, “I admit all my mistakes. Please save me. I don’t want to stay in this situation.”

Have you ever experienced this, too?

There is hope in God!

Like Edeline, you can heal from the wounds of your past and move forward in life. Just keep reading His Word and surrender your life to Him.

Edeline shared how God is everything she needed in life.

“I don’t need to search for anything more. I am complete. There is peace in my heart.”

Are you also searching for real love?

You can find it in God! Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Do you want to receive Him in your life today, but don’t know how? The CBN Asia Prayer Center is here to help you. Call us at 8737-0700 or send us a message on Facebook.

God’s Grace Can Turn Your Trials into Triumphs

Life often tests us when we least expect it––financial struggles, sudden job loss, loss of loved ones, or health battles.

Yet sometimes, it is in the breaking that God begins His greatest work!

If you’re struggling right now, let Grace Muco’s story inspire you to persevere in faith despite all the trials.

Grace Muco, a sari-sari store owner from Pampanga, started her small business with just Php 10,000 that she borrowed when her husband got sick.

Life was not easy for her. She had to raise her children while struggling financially and facing doubts from people around her. But Grace worked hard every day.

Her challenges didn’t stop there. She later suffered from a mild stroke, which left her physically weak. In that moment of desperation, she cried out to God for help.

“Lord, please help me carry my burdens because it’s too heavy to bear,” Grace desperately prayed.

Until one night, she came across The 700 Club Asia on television. She was touched by the real stories of people whose lives were changed by God.

Moved by what she heard, she started donating to the ministry. She even encouraged her son, Kuya Bro, to do the same.

“The first amount I gave was Php 500. Then, I encouraged my son to do the same,” she recalled.

When the pandemic hit, Grace stopped sending her donations but kept saving them in a container she labeled “The 700 Club Asia”. She continued setting aside her tithes and offerings faithfully.

Years later, while cleaning their home, Grace’s husband found two bags of money. Not long after, Kuya Bro discovered bundles of cash hidden in a cabinet—the tithes and offerings Grace saved during the pandemic.

When Kuya Bro posted a video of the discovery online, it went viral, which inspired many people.

“I thought, why not record it on video since it’s not something that happens normally,” he shared.

Today, the small sari-sari store that started with borrowed money has grown into a successful business. Grace and her family can now bless others beyond tithes and offerings.

“We cannot do this on our own. God know or heart’s desires, and apart from Him, we are nothing,” her son shared.

Are you going through trials right now?

Don’t worry, you are not standing alone. God is inviting you to lean on His grace, because His grace is enough, and it will meet you right where you are.

We are here to pray for you. Call the CBN Asia Prayer Center at 8737-0700 or send us a message on Facebook.

Can God Turn This Situation Around for My Good?

“Why am I going through this?”

Have you ever whispered this in the middle of your struggles?

For Imy Ege, motherhood was one of life’s sweetest gifts. Her daughter, Angel Destiny, was her answered prayer.

Everything was going well, until two separate doctor visits revealed she had lumps in her ovaries.

The only choice was surgery. And with it came a heartbreaking truth that she could no longer have another child.

“It was painful. But I told myself God must have a reason for giving me just one child,” Imy recalled.

Yet before she could even recover emotionally, another storm came. She was diagnosed with cancer.

The doctors advised six therapy sessions, but with their financial situation, she could only manage four.

“Lord, why do I have to suffer like this?” she asked God. Slowly, hopelessness and depression began to creep in.

Like Imy, have you ever come to a point where you ask God if He still sees you and knows what you’re going through?

Imy searched for answers, too.

Until one day, while watching Kata Inocencio share her testimony on The 700 Club Asia’s YouTube channel, something shifted in Imy’s heart.

“God is bigger than this cancer. This is just a sickness, but God is God.”

Those words stayed with her. She started praying more and trusting on God’s promises. She held on tightly to what God told King Hezekiah in the Bible:

“I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” (2 Kings 20:5 NIV)

She believed God could do the same for her.

God did not disappoint. In November 2023, her prayers were answered. She was declared cancer-free!

For Imy, it was a display of God’s miracle, a proof that God can turn her situation around for good.

“Thank you, CBN Asia and The 700 Club Asia, for being God’s instrument to encourage me during those tough times. I’ve learned that I should depend on God and come to Him no matter what,” she shared.

Because of your generous support, Imy was able to watch The 700 Club Asia and be inspired by God’s Word.

Would you like to help share the Good News of Jesus and His encouragement with more people like her? Partner with us today and be part of changing lives for God’s glory.

Have You Ever Been a Victim of a Scam?

What if the very scam that broke you became the testimony that built you?

For Karla Reyes, that’s exactly what happened.

When the pandemic hit, life as Karla Reyes knew it was gone.

Their source of income was affected, and nights were filled with worry.

Then, one day, while scrolling through Facebook, she saw it—an investment scheme promising quick and huge returns. It sounded like the lifeline she’s been waiting for.

And at first, it was.

In just a month, she earned. She believed she finally found the answer.

Confident, Karla invested more. Even withdrew from her family’s insurance. She posted about it on social media, and her friends and relatives joined as well.

Six months later, her dream crumbled. The news flashed on her television screen, their office was being raided. It was all a scam.

Her money, a total of ₱ 1.3 million, was gone. Along with the savings of everyone she had encouraged to join.

Her phone wouldn’t stop buzzing—each message a painful reminder that she had unknowingly led her loved ones into the same trap.

The guilt was crushing, fear was overwhelming, and depression became real.

Have you ever felt like Karla? Tricked, hopeless, and carrying a burden you can’t put down?

Surrender it to God. With Him, it’s never too late to start again.

One night, while aimlessly flipping channels, Karla stumbled upon The 700 Club Asia.

Stories of God’s faithfulness filled the screen. A testimony of provision stirred something in her heart.

For the first time in months, she felt a spark of hope.

She looked at her online banking account—only ₱ 700 left. And still, she gave it to CBN Asia.

“Lord, this is all I have,” she whispered through tears. “Please help me. My family needs You.”

She kept watching the program. Each story strengthened her faith. She learned that giving—even in lack—is an act of trust.

A month later, God answered.

She met a couple who had also been victims of the same scam. Together, they started a small catering business—Contemporary Cuisine by Melangs.

It grew. Slowly at first, then steadily. Her hands, once trembling in fear, were now busy serving plates of food, joy, and hope.

The money she lost never came back. But it was replaced with something far greater—renewed faith, a mission to help others, and a hope that will never run out.

“Now, with every blessing I receive, I know the Lord is with me,” she says with a smile.

Karla’s story is proof that God can turn even the worst situations into something good.

If it feels like you’ve lost everything, and life itself has cheated you, lift your eyes to God. He is your ever-present help. He will never abandon you, and He can restore anything—no matter how broken or lost.

Elderly Typhoon Survivor in Hermosa, Bataan Receives Aid from Operation Blessing

When Typhoon Crising swept through Hermosa, Bataan, it left many families struggling to recover. With continuous rainfall and overflowing rivers and fishponds surrounding the area, several barangays remain flooded even days after the storm.

Among those affected is 73-year-old Cornelio Cruz.

Tatay Cornelio has spent most of his life serving others. For 20 years, he worked in public service in his local community. He never married or had a family of his own, choosing instead to focus on helping others. In the past two decades, he has lived under the care of a generous family who opened their home to him.

Now in his old age and battling arthritis, Tatay Cornelio has no livelihood to depend on. He relies on the kindness of the family that took him in, as well as occasional support from his siblings and relatives.

When the heavy rains began, he evacuated to the family’s other house, thinking it would be a safer place. But as the night progressed, the rains didn’t stop. The floodwaters quickly rose and submerged even the three-story home where he sought refuge.

Furniture, appliances, clothes—everything was soaked and destroyed. Even their animals didn’t survive the raging flood. Tatay Cornelio tried to save what he could, but the strong current made it impossible.

Days later, he’s still the only one left at the house, tirelessly cleaning up the mess the flood left behind.

“I’ve been cleaning for almost a week now. Even our clothes are still soaked because they haven’t dried,” he shared.

Despite the hardship, Tatay Cornelio remains thankful. “I’m grateful to the Lord for giving me strength, even at my age.”

Relief for residents like him came when Operation Blessing visited Hermosa, Bataan to distribute food packs to families affected by the typhoon.

Tatay Cornelio didn’t expect to receive anything—but by God’s grace, he happened to speak with a local pastor who was helping facilitate the distribution. That encounter led to him receiving much-needed aid.

“Thank You, Lord, for knowing exactly who to send and how help would come to us,” he said. “The food packs were a huge help. Thank you so much, Operation Blessing.”

You can be part of bringing hope to more people like Tatay Cornelio. Partner with us today and help us reach more disaster-stricken communities with life-saving aid through Operation Blessing.

Reverb Worship Inspires Listeners to Wait on God’s Timing in New Single, “Hintay”

Singer-songwriter Jezliah Almasco offers a heartfelt anthem of hope and patience with the release of her newest single under Reverb Worship PH, “Hintay”—now available on all major digital streaming platforms worldwide.

Tender and sincere, “Hintay” is a Christian contemporary ballad that speaks to those waiting on God’s timing—especially in matters of love, relationships, and marriage. Sung from the perspective of a woman praying for her future husband, the track gently reminds listeners that waiting on the Lord is never in vain.

“Waiting means trusting God and believing that He’s preparing something beautiful for us,” Jezliah shared. “I hope Hintay reminds people that they are not being left behind, and that there’s so much hope and beauty in trusting God’s perfect timing.”

The track features Jezliah’s warm, faith-filled vocals set to a soft pop-ballad arrangement reminiscent of Brooke Fraser and Moira. Brought to life through the musical arrangement of Jezliah and Cid Palma, the single was mixed and mastered by Palma and co-produced with Ivy Catucod of Reverb Worship.

Inspired by her father, a former Papuri! singer-songwriter, the Palawan native began her musical journey during the pandemic, and found her calling in creating songs that point people to God. Her music offers comfort and purpose to those navigating quiet, in-between seasons.

Echoing that message, Hintay is more than just a love song—it’s a gentle encouragement for anyone holding on to a promise: waiting isn’t a delay. It’s preparation for something deeply beautiful in God’s perfect time.

“It makes me happy that Hintay, my very first original song, is getting a new life and a better version that can touch more people. I’m grateful to Reverb Worship for believing in my music and helping share it with others,” Jezliah said.

Reverb Worship PH Releases First-Ever Instrumental Hymns EP, Sound Waves Vol. 1

Reverb Worship PH, the official music arm of CBN Asia, released its first-ever instrumental hymns project, Sound Waves (Instrumental Hymns) Vol. 1, on May 30 across all major streaming platforms. The extended play offers a reflective, modern take on classic Christian hymns—reimagined through moving piano, cello, and violin arrangements.

Featuring beloved songs such as “Blessed Assurance,” “Amazing Grace,” “It Is Well With My Soul,” and “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” this four-track collection marks a significant new direction for Reverb Worship.

“For the past few years, Reverb Worship has been dedicated to creating Christian contemporary music,” shares project head and co-producer Ivy Catucod. “This time, we are excited to present a refreshing instrumental hymns EP, designed for our listeners to enjoy during quiet moments of reflection and communion with God.”

The music was arranged, recorded, and mixed by Eboy Refuerzo at The Apartment studio, with performances by Theodore Philip Amper on cello and Mara Leigh Guevara on violin.

Inspired by verses such as Romans 8:31-39, Psalm 46:1-3, and Lamentations 3:22-23, the EP explores themes of grace, peace, and unwavering faith. With no lyrics, the arrangements allow space for personal reflection, prayer, and deep rest in God’s presence.

The track “Amazing Grace” builds gradually from solitary piano to rich string harmonies, capturing the journey from brokenness to redemption, while “It Is Well With My Soul” offers a calm, steady rhythm that evokes peace in the midst of life’s storms.

“Our prayer is that each listener will experience a powerful outpouring of worship to the Lord. May God’s love and mercy shine brightly in their lives on their daily journey with Him,” Catucod said.

Stream Sound Waves, Vol. 1 now on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. Follow Reverb Worship PH on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for updates, behind-the-scenes content, and upcoming music releases that will continue to inspire and uplift.

Kids and Parents in Laguna Celebrate an Easter to Remember with Superbook!

Every Easter, malls, parks, and tourist spots are filled with families enjoying the Holy Week break. Many join fun activities like egg hunts, games, and family outings, creating special memories together.

But beyond all the fun and excitement, Easter is really about Jesus. It’s a time to remember His great love, His sacrifice on the Cross, and His resurrection that gives us hope and new life.

Last April 20, Superbook partnered with Robinsons Mall Galleria South to bring the “Sabay-Sabay Lilipad” event to Laguna, where kids and families enjoyed a fun and meaningful Easter. Sabay-Sabay Lilipad is an event created by Superbook with the goal of sharing God’s love with people in different places, through the help of Gizmo and the SuperCrew. It was more than just an event, it was an opportunity to lead families to Jesus.

The morning started with exciting activities. Kids came with their parents—some even in costumes! They joined coloring sessions, played with Superbook jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed booths prepared by Robinsons Mall.

Later that afternoon, the second part of the event began. One of the parents, Santi Opiña, came with his wife, Dona, their son Jalel, as well as his sister and nephew. Santi shared how Superbook was a big part of his childhood and how he now wants his son to grow up knowing Jesus, through the animated program, too.

“It’s great that media and animation are being used to teach kids about God. At a young age, it’s important for children to know who God is and how much He loves them,” he said. Santi was thankful that through Superbook, his son understood the love of Christ.

The highlight of the day was watching the Superbook episode “Doubting Thomas,” where one of Jesus’ friends, Thomas, had a hard time believing that Jesus was alive again. The kids learned that not even death could stop Jesus and that we can trust what He says. After watching, kids and parents sang and danced with Gizmo to “The Salvation Poem,” and the kids joined in prayer to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The event ended with fun photo moments with Gizmo.

It was a beautiful Easter celebration filled with laughter and learning. And most of all, it was a day to remember that Jesus is the true reason for the season. Because of His sacrifice, we have the gift of new life.

Stay updated on where Gizmo and the SuperCrew will land next by following the Batang Superbook Facebook page and our Instagram and X at @batangsuperbook. If you’d like to help more kids and families experience the life-changing love of Jesus, you can partner with us at cbnasia.com/give.

How Can I Share Christ During Holy Week?

Holy Week is a time when many people seek peace, reflect on life, and draw closer to God. As believers, this is a great opportunity to share the love of Christ and help others know Him as their Lord and Savior.

If you are looking for ways to share Christ this Holy Week, here are some simple yet meaningful ways to do so:

1. Invite your friends and family to church

Many churches hold special Holy Week services that focus on Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. If your church has one, invite your loved ones to come with you. Worshiping together can be a good way for them to experience God’s presence.

The Bible reminds us to gather as believers and encourage one another in faith: “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another” (Hebrews 10:25).

Attending a church service can help them understand the true meaning of Holy Week and draw them closer to Christ.

2. Share stories of God’s goodness in your life

Personal testimonies are one of the most powerful ways to share Christ. When talking with friends or family, share how God has worked in your life—whether through answered prayers, guidance in difficult times, or unexpected blessings.

Being open about both struggles and victories allows others to see God’s faithfulness.

The Psalmist expressed the importance of sharing personal experiences of God’s goodness when he invited people to listen as he shared the good things that God has done to him (Psalm 66:16). Your story can encourage others to trust in God and seek Him in their own lives.

3. Share your faith through social media

In today’s digital world, social media is a great platform to share your faith. Many people are online, especially during Holy Week, as they relax and take a break.

Posting a Bible verse, a reflection, or a personal testimony can reach someone who needs encouragement. The Bible calls us to declare God’s goodness to the world (Psalm 96:3), and a simple post may be exactly what someone needs to be reminded of God’s love.

4. Watch something meaningful together

Another way to share Christ is by inviting your loved ones to watch an inspiring program about faith like CBN Asia’s Holy Week Special, Tanikala presents “Preso,” airing on Good Friday, April 18, at 5:30 PM on GMA.

This story can start conversations about faith and God’s grace. Watching together can be a simple yet meaningful way to reflect on Christ’s goodness and inspire others to seek Him.

Jesus gave us the greatest mission—to share the Good News with others (Matthew 28:19). Let’s obey His Word and bring others closer to Him.

Whether through an invitation, a conversation, or a simple act of sharing online or spending time with loved ones, the best gift you can give is the message of God’s love and salvation.
