Raquel Galang proved this when she chose to walk in faith in the middle of her life’s storm.
Raised in a Christian community, Raquel’s mother influenced her to watch The 700 Club Asia. She was inspired by how God moved in the lives of testimony givers.
“I feel blessed by God’s work,” Raquel recalled.
Seeing how God reaches people in need through CBN Asia encouraged her to give.
That’s why even though her husband earned only Php 700 a day as a construction painter—just enough for their daily needs—she still chose to give back to the Lord by supporting the ministry.
“Children receive the help they need, lives are saved, and communities that are very far from the city are reached,” Raquel shared.
Do you find it hard to give when you’re barely left with enough?
Raquel generously donated what was intended for her family’s needs. She gave with a heart full of trust, believing that God will provide.
“I believe that when we give back to God, He is faithful and will never forsake us,” she said.
True enough, God showed Raquel how faithful He is.
When her second child became critically ill due to appendicitis, but had to wait from two to three days for surgery, it was a hard time.
Situations like this may cause you to wake up with a heavy heart every day. But for Raquel, it was a chance to trust God more. She called a community that prayed with her through the battle – the CBN Asia Prayer Center.
Together, they prayed for her child’s healing and financial provision for the medical operation. The next day, God answered with more than what she asked for.
Her child received the operation, and it was all free. With free medicines, too. On top of these, Raquel’s child recovered and finished her school year with flying colors—by the grace of God.
“Truly, He provides everything that we need,” Raquel testified.
Raquel believes that giving back to God was never about the amount, but the love, trust, and faith in Him.
“Our trials are temporary compared to what the Lord will bless us with in our lives,” she ended.
