Here’s How You are Helping a Father Walk Again!

Hours turned into days.

Days turned into weeks.

Weeks turned into months.

Francisco Armario spent nine months in his bed because of the debilitating pain on his legs. The last three months were the worst –he could not even move, do household chores, nor go to the bathroom on his own.

Above all these, Francisco’s livelihood suffered. His family could not afford to bring him to the hospital because they did not have money to pay for his medical bills.

“It was November 2020 when I first walked in pain. Months after, I cannot walk nor stand anymore; I am bedridden. As a father, it was so painful for me to see my family struggling,” Francisco lamented.

This is what happens when a member of a low-income family gets sick. And their difficulties are compounded by the present pandemic. They have to endure the pain while being cooped up in their own homes.

Waiting.

Wondering if they could ever get the medical treatment they need.

Francisco’s situation showed that anyone can experience health problems but not everyone can afford to get treatment. Healthcare becomes a privilege for our most vulnerable kababayans.

Thankfully, Franciso held on to hope.

“Because of my condition, I learned to pray to God more and seek Him wholeheartedly,” he shared.

Extremely worried about Francisco’s situation, his sister reached out to Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm. Francisco’s family’s prayers were answered when they received a response.

Operation Blessing visited Francisco and gave him free medical consultation and took care of his medication. Although he has yet to complete a series of checkups, he is now more hopeful and full of vigor.

“It is really a huge help for me and my family. I am very thankful to God for using Operation Blessing as an instrument of help and healing for me!” Francisco ended.

Because of your compassion and unwavering support to Operation Blessing, Francisco can walk again. Together, we continue to extend help to our vulnerable kababayans who urgently need medical assistance.
