Where do you find hope amid these trying times?
With all that is happening nowadays, finding hope and staying positive has been a challenge for everyone. This is what inspired singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid to team up with another OPM icon, Moira Dela Torre, to compose a new song titled “Beautiful.”
The song was released last August 14 under Star Music, co-produced by CBN Asia’s music arm, Reverb Worship PH.
During his guesting on MOR Philippines Livestream last August 17, Ogie shared his inspiration behind the song, encouraged other artists to use their platforms to uplift people and God, and thanked everyone who streamed their music.
“It’s hard to see the beauty during this pandemic and that’s where faith comes in. That despite what we are going through, God has a plan. (https://www.hotelogix.com/) All we have to do is to trust Him. He’s teaching us to be patient and obedient. We will see the things that will come out of this, and all of that will be beautiful. That’s the very essence of this song,” Ogie said.
To Moira, who was touring abroad when they recorded the song, “Beautiful” is a reminder of God’s love, “This song is so timely and so powerful. It’s such an amazing reminder that despite all the storms, we serve a mighty and beautiful God who makes everything beautiful in His time.”
Hours before the release, the hashtag #BeautifulOgieMoira trended on Twitter. And as soon as the anthem hit streaming platforms, listeners were quick to react and praise its uplifting message. Both lyrics and melody caught the hearts of our kababayans and received positive comments.
YouTube commenter Jaque D. shared that songs like this could help people “overcome fear and fight anxiety and depression.” Maxine H., on the other hand, commented that it is “a great reminder of how good God is and how much He loves us all. A masterpiece indeed!” Bri H. revealed that the song got into her heart and she felt “so blessed and full after listening to it.”
