JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Researcher scouts and sources inspiring, accurate, and impactful testimonies, as well as competent and credible personalities for CBN Asia programs across television, online and live event platforms. This position requires strong investigative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and develop compelling stories that align with the organization’s mission and vision and audience expectations.
  • Key responsibilities include performing preliminary interviews to assess story potential, conducting thorough background research and fact checking to ensure accuracy, writing briefs and suggesting story angles for producers, assisting in scheduling and briefing of guests, gathering and editing supplemental media as needed, building strong network of contacts, and maintaining positive and professional relationships with all contributors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

– Graduate of Broadcast Communications, Mass Communication or a related course

– Strong research, interview, and storytelling skills

– High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, editorial judgment, resourcefulness, and determination

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino

– Computer proficiency, particularly MS Office, familiarity with Adobe Premiere is an advantage

– Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes

– Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people across socio-economic classes and nationalities

– Familiarity with legal and ethical, and copyright considerations in media

– Sound understanding of biblical principle and spiritual maturity
