Watsan Supervisor


Job Description

  • Defines develop and implement the overall vision for the water and sanitation program
  • Works closely with other departments/units to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects
  • Recruits, trains, and provides oversight for contractual project coordinators
  • Ensures involvement and establishes relationships with local partners such as LGUs, church partners, NGOs, and other institutions
  • Identifies and recommends viable sites by doing ocular inspections and consultation with appropriate government agencies, and partners
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with the provisions in the memorandum of agreement
  • Serves as Operation Blessing – Philippines representative and signatory in the memorandum of agreement (MOA) in the absence of the immediate supervisor or the EVP/COO
  • Ensures cost efficiency, timely completion, and proper turnover of water well projects and toilet projects
  • Ensures periodic monitoring of projects and recommends appropriate action when necessary
  • Ensures timely submission of accurate data and liquidation reports
  • Serves as a link between management and supervised staff to ensure that goals are achieved, policies are implemented, and concerns and suggestions are processed properly.
  • Provides spiritual leadership and fosters an environment with high motivation
  • Ensures responsible representation of the organization
  • Attends to the task being assigned by the immediate head, as the need arises


  • College graduate with Engineering background (preferably with experience as WATSAN coordinator but not necessary).
  • Adequate mechanical and technical knowledge and experience in well drilling projects and toilet projects
  • Excellent management and organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in community organizing
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to network at various levels
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and adapt to field working conditions
  • Knows how to drive and possess driver’s licenses 1,2 and 3 (preferably but not necessary)
  • Ability to work under pressure
