The job entails seeking out testimonies, features, accurate information, competent resource persons, and credible personalities for the production of CBN Asia programs on TV, online, and in live events;
Undertaking relevant background research and fact-checking to ensure the information presented on screen is as accurate as possible;
Conducting preliminary telephone, video call, or face-to-face interviews to assess the suitability of the story and availability of testimony giver, resource person, or guest
Writing briefs, background information, and possible angles of researched stories and interviewees for the production of testimonies, features, news segments, and online programs
Assisting Producer in scheduling and briefing of testimony giver and guest before the live or recorded interview begins;
Nurturing positive working relationships with testimony givers, resource persons and guests
Obtaining informed consent and signed Media Release Form of testimony giver, resource person, and guardian of the minor
Gathering supplemental audio-video materials and documentation to support the story ensuring compliance with legal and copyright requirements
Editing appropriate videos for inserts
Building and maintaining an extensive bank of contacts and useful information from both internal and external sources
Qualifications / Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Broadcast Communication or any related course
Sound understanding of biblical principle and spiritual maturity
Strong research skills, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to process a large amount of information, good judgment, and instinct for a good story
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino; knowledge of other dialects and languages is an advantage
Excellent people skills across socio-economic classes
Good organizational and time management skills; video editing skill is an advantage
Resourcefulness and ability to remain determined when trying to track down hard to find information
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, adapt to sudden changes, and deliver to tight deadlines
Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
Computer proficiency (MS applications); knowledge in Adobe Premiere is an advantage
Knowledge of legal and ethical principles in relation to media and copyright
