Donor Communications Specialist


Job Description:

  • Prepare an annual donor communication plan.
  • Implement approved donor communication plan.
  • Conduct regular donor communications audits and propose findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure timely implementation of all donor communication deliverables.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communications and graphics.
  • Develop a communication plan for each donor care/development initiative to be planned and executed by
    the Resource Development team.
  • Write regular communication to all donors, in the prescribed and approved writing style.
  • Assist in the planning of fundraising strategies by identifying the team’s communication needs.
  • Produce video and graphic designs as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in donor communications, copywriting, or a communications role within a fundraising, academic, or government setting.
  • High attention to detail and a creative eye.
  • Project management skills and ability to be proactive in his/her approach to the role.
