Neo Rivera, Jericho Arceo Team Up for Inspirational Single ‘2AM Wide Awake’

Actor and singer-songwriter Neo Rivera and social media influencer Jericho Arceo have teamed up for Neo’s uplifting new song, 2AM Wide Awake. You can stream it on October 29 on all digital streaming platforms worldwide!

Inspired by the story of The Prodigal Son in the Bible, Neo penned his first single for 2021 as a message of God’s love, grace, and forgiveness. The lyrics tell the story of a person who’s wide awake at 2 AM, wondering how God can still love someone like him who has failed countless times.

“We’ve been a Prodigal Son or Daughter at some point. My journey with Christ isn’t perfect. Many times, I’d question my worth, I couldn’t sleep because of fears. I’d ask, ‘Lord, will Your promises come true? Am I late? If I didn’t rebel, would I be in a different place? Would I meet You?’” Neo said.

The singer-songwriter continued, “That’s when I remind myself of God’s grace, and His plans and timing always prevail. It’s a collection of those moments that made up the song.”

Neo’s personal story and musing from the timeless parable, together with Jericho’s intricately crafted Tagalog rap verse and some smooth, laid back beats, gave birth to the masterpiece that is 2AM Wide Awake.

This relatable song is a perfect anthem for anyone seeking God’s grace and comfort during these trying times.

“You are not alone. I get you. I understand your struggle of having so many questions for God. Sometimes, we ask for answers but what He shows us is His love for us. Even though we have many mishaps in life, He’s ready to bring us back in His arms. He alone is enough,” Neo shared.

2AM Wide Awake is produced by Reverb Worship PH, CBN Asia’s music arm. It is the third on the roster of fresh Christian Contemporary songs that the record label is releasing this year.

“I am excited for 2AM Wide Awake! As we thrive to bring songs about our faith to a wider audience, 2AM’s pop sound will surely be popular among today’s music lovers. I pray that as they hear this song, they will also think about God’s endless love for all of us,” said John Valdes Tan, CBN Asia’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Pre-save 2AM Wide Awake by Neo Rivera and Jericho Arceo, and stream it on October 29 on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Soundcloud, and YouTube!

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this;

it is a gift from God. – Ephesians 2:8-9

Is there anyone who comes to mind that you know messed up his life big time and yet God continues to love and forgive him? We might be quick to say that the person is undeserving but in God’s eyes, that person is still considered a recipient of His love and forgiveness!

My friend, this is God’s amazing grace. It must be the most difficult concept in the Bible to understand yet the very heart of the Father for all of us!

This is grace – God’s unmerited favor. In it, you and I have been given a gift we didn’t earn. The Bible even says that we are saved by grace expressed by God’s forgiveness of our sins. His blessings to us even include peace and fulfillment in this life and, in the life to come, unencumbered fellowship with Him for all eternity.

Isn’t that something that amazes you? That is how much God loves us! That is His boundless grace – at the cross, His Son died for your sins and mine. So, we could be with Him forever.

Not only does this grace fill our relationship with God. This same boundless grace pouring out in us is the same grace that allows us to endure trials and sufferings. Amidst uncertainties and the seemingly never-ending pandemic, God’s abounding grace sustains.

You may have developed habits and lifestyles that make it hard for you to receive and extend grace especially during this pandemic. But the Bible gives us hope and reminds us that through God’s help, the impossible will be made possible. Remember, God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).

The boundless grace of God is the good news you help us bring every time you give to CBN Asia and we cannot thank you enough for your partnership that brings hope and transformation to thousands upon thousands of people.

Because you heed the call to partner with our Family of Ministries, once messed up lives are now filled with the transforming love and boundless love of God. Thank you for helping us become witnesses of God’s grace through our live TV Special of The 700 Club Asia “Boundless Grace” that aired last August 23 to September 3, 2021, on GMA.

By giving, you become a part of someone receiving the boundless grace from God. And as you continue to be an extension of God’s loving and helping hand through CBN Asia, may you receive God’s promises to those who faithfully give in His name. May His blessings overflow to you and to your family.

Ready to Quit Drinking? Overcome Alcohol Addiction with these 5 Tips!

You drove by a liquor store and could not help but buy a drink. You went home and opened the first bottle, the second, the third… until you lost count. You have been binge-drinking for months and the quarantine only triggered your alcohol use.

Deep down you know there is something wrong – and you are struggling to stop drinking.

Do not worry, your help comes from God! (Psalm 121:1)

Here are 5 practical tips to help you overcome an alcohol addiction, from The 700 Club Asia and Beyond Small Talk host, Erick Totañes.

Tip #1: Surround yourself with the right people

Alcohol addiction could be an incredibly confusing thing. You need people who can help you set things straight.

Who are the people that you surround yourself with? Do they encourage you to curb your drinking, or it is the other way around?

Whoever they are and whatever they do, Erick has a suggestion for you, “Make sure that they will lead you to the right influence.”

Tip #2: Look for a church community that will journey with you

The road to recovery is not a straight path. Temptations are everywhere so relapse could happen. The pandemic, along with other life troubles can make you seek comfort in a bottle of liquor. One wrong move and you are down the rabbit hole again.

That’s why it is important to have a solid support group by your side.

These people who love you with the love of God will correct you out of genuine concern. These people will journey with you toward recovery. These people will let you confess your sins and weaknesses to each other and pray for you that you may be healed (James 5:16).

Tip #3: Be open and teachable

Keep an open mind and be willing to acknowledge your mistakes – then forgive yourself. Ask God to help you accept criticism, advice, and wisdom from others.

“Humble yourself. We must have a teachable heart. When the people who care for us give us advice, let’s accept it,” says Erick, which leads you to Tip #4.

Tip #4: Listen and follow godly advice

No matter what age you’re at, remember that learning doesn’t have to stop. You can learn, unlearn, and relearn things that will help you overcome alcohol addiction.

Erick realized the value of heeding godly advice when he himself struggled with alcohol addiction before becoming a pastor, “To the young people, follow your parents. To older ones, listen to the good advice of your friends and loved ones.”

Then, pray for discernment. Prepare your heart to receive, filter, and apply those words of wisdom to your life.

Tip #5: Start today

Start seeking ways to overcome your triggers. And if you suspect that you are no longer in the driver’s seat of your life, start seeking medical treatment. Start changing your mindset and lifestyle. Start finishing your recovery by starting today.

How?

If you don’t know where to start, Erick affirms that you can always start with God, “If we come to God with humility, acknowledging that we are sinners and we have made a lot of mistakes, God is faithful to cleanse and forgive us from all sins.”

You can start today because there is a God who loves you. Nothing is too late nor too heavy for Him. Surrender your life to Him and He will do the heavy lifting of all your stress, troubles, and even alcohol addiction.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9 NASB)

If you want to break free from the shackles of alcohol addiction, we want to journey with you through prayers. Call the CBN Asia Prayer Center at 8-737-0-700 and we would love to pray for you.
