What is your heart’s cry today? What do you need God to do in your life right at this moment? When you’re willing to come directly to God—believing that He hears, sees and understands you completely—that’s when you begin to understand that He is ready and waiting to act on your behalf.

Second Chronicles 16:9 says, For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro ... to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. Another translation from the Hebrew says “whose hearts are perfect toward Him.”

The New Testament gives several examples of people whose hearts were perfect toward Jesus. Four men tore a hole in a roof to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus (Mark 2:1-11). The woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years reached through the crowds for the hem of Jesus’ cloak (Matthew 9:20-22). She knew, beyond all doubt, that she would be healed with just a touch.

When a Gentile woman pleaded with Jesus to heal her demon-possessed daughter, His first answer was silence. She pleaded with Him again, and Jesus told her He was sent only to the house of Israel. She responded by worshiping Him, and saying simply, Lord, help me! Then, after Jesus called her a dog, she persisted, saying, Even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table (see Matthew 15:23-27). Jesus was so moved by her faith that He healed her daughter instantly.

Each of these people had to overcome obstacles to get to Jesus: a roof, a crowd, even a nationality. Today there are no obstacles between you and your heavenly Father. You can approach God with full confidence, not in your own works or goodness, but in His readiness to receive you. His eyes are on you. He is listening for your heart’s cry. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever.
