| Starting
Sunday, April 6, The 700 Club Asia airs its inspirational
messages of hope and new beginnings to thousands of Filipino
televiewers in the United States, Canada, Saipan, Japan
and Australia through The Filipino Channel, ABS-CBN's
overseas cable network. Showtime is 8:00 AM Pacific Time.
The shows are estimated to reach over 111,000 households
tuned in to TFC.
Also
on Sunday, local televiewers will be able to watch a
replay of the after-midnight Wednesday telecasts of
The 700 Club Asia on Channel 2 at the earlier time slot
of 8:00 AM on Studio 23. The show, hosted by Peter Kairuz
and alternating guest hosts Chat Silayan and Dulce is
a local version of The 700 Club, the longest-running
daily Christian program in the world (over 38 years)
which telecasts in over 90 countries. The shows specialize
in bringing God's modern-day miracles into televiewers'
homes.
On
the Sunday maiden telecast on TFC, Peter and Dulce present
a brief history of The 700 Club Asia through the years,
the miracle healing of Ferdie Lazarte, instantly delivered
from a kidney ailment after praying along with host
Pat Robertson; lone Filipina missionary to the Karenni
mountain tribes of Thailand Cynthia Blas, and miracle
healings brought by an Operation Blessing mission to
a community of Muslim refugees in Montalban.
On
the maiden telecast on Studio 23, Dulce and Chat present
two professional "clowns," or comedians, Dennis
Calacday and Yoyoy Villame who were laughing on the
outside but crying in the inside as problems and crises
buffeted their lives. Until a personal encounter with
Christ made the joy and laughter real in their hearts.
